Looking for thoughts about an ENx story element

I have this idea I'm playing with which I'm sure isn't anything new but it presses a couple of particular buttons for me.

Some level of authority has instituted a rule that some part of the population be photographed nude on a semi-regular basis for some reason.

This could be as localized as all patients at a particular medical clinic, to a school district, to a state or national government.

In terms of frequency, it could be annual (yearly physical, start of school, etc.) or more frequent (part of every clinic visit, monthly as part of data collection for a health class).

Reasons could be for a government database, general research for some university, some kind of health tracking, puberty/aging study, clinic wants detailed files, school wants to identify students with specific physical characteristics, etc.

My first thought is a government program administered through doctors/hospitals as part of a yearly checkup beginning at birth. The doctor takes the pictures, they send them to some government office but the doctor gets to keep a copy. I'd be interested in other ideas.

Also, what poses should there be? Front, back, and sides would be obvious, but what else? From behind with the subject touching their toes, maybe?

This scenario you have could even be something that takes place in the past.
Lots of nude action photos were done during the early days of photography in the first use of multiple stop action footage.
I can see how Doctors might have taken photos of patients on a regular basis, when medical studies first became normal practice.

I will definitely be considering starting some kind of story. Hopefully several others will be interested.

For many years I worked in a photography lab. One of the services was Passport pictures.
I came up with a joke about doing those type of photos.
I would tell a co-worker, who is working the photo counter, "Excuse me sir/miss, I need a passport style photo. I'm applying for a membership
at a nudist resort and I need a full frontal".

I hadn't really thought about a dystopian setting but that has some particularly interesting possibilities. Like maybe the government collects those photos but they get used as stock photos (in textbooks, or even commercially on product packaging), or to train AIs/DeepFakes. Maybe because of a data breach/leak or maybe the government just sells access to the database because it can. Suddenly you're a teen in health class and the course materials contains pictures of you (or a sibling, classmate, parent). Or you discover a classmate has built a hologram of you but they've "adjusted" certain characteristics of your body to humiliate you and they're showing it to friends. Or maybe you have a hologram of that older girl from biology class that you wank to, except somehow she finds out about it.

Historically there were a number of colleges that actually ran programs like this, which is one of my two starting points for the idea, the other being a story I read a long time ago about someone in Japan who took a nude picture of their child each year on their birthday, which were eventually turned into an album.

Only the super duper old timers here can remember being in school back in the 50s and 60s.
I think I would have both hated and loved nude swimming at a junior and high school. I would have been curled up in the corner while
my eyes bugged out gawking at the other students....until I got to be a Senior, then I was bold enough walk around the locker room with the
towel over my shoulder instead of around my waist.

After thinking about it, junior high would have been much more embarrassing. I was (and am) a grower not a shower and I was also a late bloomer. Having to spend that kind of time bare around my peers would have been humiliating -- the ten second walk from the shower to my gym locker was bad enough and the towels we had didn't go all the way around your waist unless you were really skinny.

Of course, if I'd had to go through that I'd have a lot more story material for this site...

They had to start photographing multiple people at a time, boys and girls. And I imagine they might start doing it on a weekly basis too? I think it would be fun to see a grower get made fun of. Maybe that's his excuse and he finally gets an erection in front of a bunch of people and he's still on the small side. lol

Hmm. On the one hand, starting at birth/preschool/kindergarten would give parents things to put in the photo album from the beginning to show their friends when they came over. On the other hand, you'd be kind of used to it by the time the puberty fairy came to visit. But if the photographs only started at middle school, it would make it a lot more intense. So it would depend on the story.

From the angle of something dystopian, I could see wanting to start early to track physical characteristics, maybe someone wants to see how consistent the size/shape of certain features are over time and whether they're predictive from birth. And a dossier tracking the onset and degree of modesty for an individual could be valuable. Imagine a story about a sadistic gym teacher who gets this information regularly from the families' doctors (including the presence of interesting birthmarks, etc.) and uses it to set up situations either for the most modest to be humiliated thoroughly or for the least modest to get taken down a peg.

I mean maybe they were singular photographs until middle school. And then they started doing group inspections out of nowhere because there are too many students to schedule single examinations.

The target gets cornered near the curtain and teased about his size and he gives his excuse. Then one of the other boys gets a willing girl to come over to the curtain which they part. This is the first nude girl the target has ever seen and despite his embarrassment gets as hard as he's ever been and yeah, it's still small, which leads to several other girls coming to look and now he's being teased by everyone.

Maybe he has a girlfriend and she comes over and starts ogling ALL of the other boys instead of him?

If it is a dystopian time, why not choose the institution of prison to make it a bit more realistic? Every woman and man who goes to prison should have front and back naked pictures in the records, and access to this information should not be restricted. I think it would be appropriate to renew the pictures every 1 or 2 years. We can also think of this as a factor that prevents crime. Just an idea! But I think it can be developed.
