My Friend’s mom

This is not my story, but since I know it I will tell you the way it was told to me. When my friend’s mom was 13 years old, they had a house fire. Everyone in the family evacuated, but they realized that she hadn’t come out of the house. Her dad had to go back in to find her, but she was in the shower.

Essentially, she refused to go out of the house because she didn’t have any clothes. He pulled her out and she spent the next few hours wearing only a towel while they watched her house burn down. All the neighbors showed up, which embarrassed her. But her humiliation was made even worse because her parents kept scolding her about why she would rather burn to death than come outside naked.
