You are sure right, kids seldom revenge "up the ladder", but she might still get back at her brother for beeing such a whiny little kid. If he would have handled her taunts better their mother maybe would not have made such a big deal out of it. In a kid's logic her punishment is all his fault ;o)

But still, I'm happy to read more about Michelle's ordeal!

Just curious who would Michelle get revenge on? I’ve never heard a “child” getting revenge on a parent before. I know it stopped in a definitive place but I was planning on adding to Michelle.

Theoretically revenge could work in this story, after the humiliation of Michelle was finished. You could flip the script and have Michelle force her mother to "trade places" with her daughter in public, being treated like a child in front of her own peers at the hands of her daughter.
