Just a suggestion that might not be possible on a PHP forum but could outsmart a lot of these bots if it works....

I know that new accounts have to make 3 posts before they can DM anyone. My question is: Can it be rigged up so that new members cannot post until they've given at least one Thanks to a post? Most bots aren't going to be smart enough to deal with that security step. We would just need a warning given to new members on sign-up warning them of the need to Thank something first before they could make posts.

Or we could put that limiter when they try to post the post from their drafts.

A real person would resd the message and understand, but a bot wouldn't

Members with permission from Mods can post more per day.

I believe that would resolve everything.

I basically just did something like that, by restricting registrations to manual approvals, for some reason, the post limits don't quite work as they just go ahead and post without issue somehow.

I think I'm just going to have to endure it and approve new users by hand until the asshole gets bored and moves on.

Yep TeenFans account is back but all his stories are missing large chunks in the middle, stories are going from chapter 6 to chapter 38 for example.

The whole site feels buggy, it says there are no posts in this section of the forum for me.

It appears to me that I'm missing all posts for everyone for approx. the past 2 days.
