I've often wondered what was filmed in these movies, but not shown in the final editing. How much more did the young actors and women
do that ended up being cut from the movie. Did a director ever have scenes filmed that had the actor completely seen nude...never intending
to actually use the footage? Did the young male actor get to touch the actress in more ways than shown in the final copy?
This is what got me to write my favorite story: "It's in the Script" about a young actor in way too deep and over his head in the making of
a movie, and a director who gets him naked in way too many scenes.

These are interesting questions. Admittedly, I did not even think about them in detail before.

The second scene is an example of a Director being overly cautious? Other directors would have gotten both actors to show more skin and
do more touching.

No, it's just a question of custom. There were times when many people slept in one room, all of them being nude. Even today, there are some nudist communities where everybody gets to see everybody in their natural state all the day. It seems that nudity becomes really asexual if you see nude people all the day.
By the way, there even exists a German mainstream comedy film ("Barfuß bis zum Hals") about a nudist camp you see many nude people (without any blurring) there. Here is a Wikipedia entry about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barfu%C3%9F_bis_zum_Hals
