That may well be true!

(It somehow reminds me of "A Summer in the Country", which is an Italian movie from 1980. I'll be posting more links to movies where a teenage boy gets involved with older woman. I can't recall the woman getting arrested and
charged with a crime in any of them. The family of the boy might disapprove and try to keep the boy from seeing the woman again, but they don't call the police.

I think so. People seem to assume that teen boys, always being horny, crave sex and basically know what they do. And those "seductive" older women just want to have some harmless fun with the boys, giving them what every teen boy secretly dreams of anyway.
At the same time, girls are considered to be "innocent" (not really interested in sex at all but only in "pure" romantic love) and naive. They fall madly in love with the older men who just want sex with them, not caring for them at all while pretending to be deep in love with them (this latter fact, by the way, also explains why the girls, despite their utter lack of sexual interest, have sex with these men at all). The men will exploit them shamelessly, wounding them for life, and maybe also impregnate them.

Okay, this may be somewhat exaggerated, but you know what I mean.

At least in Europe, I guess Latin America and some other parts of the world, people seem in fact to be rather relaxed when a teen boy (let's say 15 or older) is being "seduced" by an adult woman, and the boys themselves seem to complain very rarely.

I don't know for sure what he situation in the USA is like. In the past, the USA were quite liberal for the time, as far as I know, but it seems that today laws and law enforcement and the overall climate are quite strict - or at least this it what news would suggest.
I remember a media report of a 17 year old boy who sued an attractive (and wealthy!) woman for allegedly having seduced him (seemingly in a soft way without any violence), and he complained how awfully traumatized he was.
As far as I can tell, such a case would hardly be conceivable in large parts of Europe (where the age of consent is lower than in much of the USA both for boys and girls anyway) - the boy would most likely have been very proud and envied by his peers.

(This is not meant as criticism. I just want to point out the differences that seem to exist, and if I am somewhat mistaken I am open to correction.)
