The most vivid memory I have of CFNM embarrassment came when I was 10 years old in the late 1970s. I was in Grade 6 and was best friends with a boy called Kai who, for a brief while, was actually the star of a low-budget kids series called "Dragon Run", a rather silly show broadcast on public-access television across our local region. Being the star of the show Kai received a considerable amount of screen-time and, as a result of this, was quite well-known in the area - he was one of the most popular boys in school and it was fair to say numerous girls in our year had intense crushes on him. It wasn't surprising, as Kai was extremely attractive and well put-together; he had wavy, chestnut-brown hair which fell cheekily over his brow, causing him to regularly flick it back out of his eyes. He was tall, sporty and fit with a toned, athletic body and was one of these kids who just seemed to excel in any physical activity he put his mind to. I'm not ashamed to say I was slightly jealous, but Kai was too considerate to attract anything other than admiration and friendship. "Dragon Run" was broadcast every week with filming taking place on the weekends prior to airing, the premise of the show being that Kai was a secret Ninja of sorts helping to solve problems around the local area. I remember one of the funniest episodes was him confronting a local garbage truck operator for dumping trash on the local sports fields, giving the evil boss a flying spinning kick to teach him a lesson! The show had been running for roughly 3 months and we were approaching the finale, which was to be aired the week after school finished for the year. Everyone was looking forward to it and had become quite invested in Kai's journey - it was bittersweet for me, because I knew that once Grade 6 had finished Kai and his family would be packing up and moving to a different state, so although I was eager to see the finale I couldn't help but be sad that it would also probably be the last time I saw Kai. We had built up an incredible friendship over the past few years and we talked to each other about anything and everything, fully trusting each other with our deepest, darkest secrets. Little did I know that one of his most guarded secrets would be revealed in front of our entire class in our last week of school...

I arrived at school on the Monday of the final week eager to finish but also excited at the fact that we would most likely just be goofing off and playing games for the remainder of our time there. I immediately found my regular group of friends and started playing handball, and although it was only 8.30 in the morning I could see the storm clouds gathering in the distance before the first splodges of rain started falling. As the rain got heavier and we ran into the library to shelter I saw Kai sat by himself reading what looked to be an introductory anatomy textbook. I remember thinking to myself how strange this was as Kai was not the most academic of students and never really showed any interest in reading, other than comics! I sat down next to him as he looked over and gave me a half-hearted smile.

"Hey dude, what's up? How come you weren't playing handball?" I asked.

"Um...I dunno, I'm not really in the mood" he quietly responded.

"Oh...is everything ok?"

"Um...yeah. Sort of..." he softly offered.

"Come on, dude. Tell. And how come you're reading that stuff, it's like, a book on bodies!" 

"Man...I dunno how to say it...ummm...this weekend in filming...they made me do a nude scene" he said, barely louder than a whisper as his eyes darted around to make sure nobody was listening.

I was taken aback. A nude scene! How could they do that?! 

"Well...like...did you show everything?" I gently asked.

"Yeah! Like, totally full frontal, totally naked!" he stuttered, flushing red at the mere mention of it. 

I'd never seen Kai naked, nor had he seen me, but in my naivety I didn't think he'd have anything to be embarrassed about. Although he was physically impressive and athletic, truth be told he was actually quite a bashful and prudish kid, and as far as I knew had never allowed anyone to see him naked or, in turn, seen anyone else naked. You have to remember that this was back in the 70s, so the chance of a 10 year old boy getting hold of porn was almost unheard of. Apparently, the director had justified the naked scene on the basis that it would generate a little bit of local controversy, hence enhancing both the director's profile as well as Kai's. Kai's parents were typical helicopter parents, desperate for their son to be a star, and apparently gave the go-ahead for the nude scene on the basis that there was nothing untoward about a 10 year old boy being seen naked, the resulting fame would be well worth any initial controversy anyway. Kai's embarrassment was a secondary consideration to fame and fortune.

Kai went on to describe how, at the very start of this particular episode, he was investigating a toxic waste dump run by an evil organisation on the outskirts of town, and during his secret investigation his character had accidently knocked over a barrel of toxic chemicals which had splashed all over his clothes. In his panic, his character stripped everything off in the middle of an empty warehouse, the humour lying in the fact that he now had to wear a discarded burlap sack all the way back to town before anyone could see him. For a good 5-10 seconds of screen time Kai stood there as naked as the day he was born pondering what to do next, before spotting the sack, ripping a few holes in it with his super ninja strength, and putting it on for the sprint back. By setting up his 'accident' at the very start of the episode the plot then cantered around Kai's character's trials and tribulations of getting back into town quietly, unseen by prying eyes until he can make it home and get dressed. By the time Kai had finished describing it I could tell the impending airing of the show was totally freaking him out, so I made an attempt to calm him down:

"Dude, don't worry though. By the time it's on TV school will have finished and you'll be moving away. And nobody will see it outside this town anyway! So don't worry, man. It'll be cool" I optimistically reasoned. Kai just nodded, still looking down at the anatomy textbook.

"Kai...how come you're reading that stuff?" I quizzically asked.

"Um...well...when I finished the scene and went to get my clothes back on I heard one of the crew members say something..." he whispered back.

"...well? What did they say?" I gently asked

"Dude, you've gotta promise not to tell ANYONE, ok?!" Kai begged, the redness flushing over his face again.

"Ok, ok, I promise. What did they say?" I softly responded.

"No, I'm serious. Nobody from here can know about this, ok? Promise!" he desperately demanded.

"Ok, I swear on my Mother's life I won't say anything to anyone. Ok?! Now tell!" I implored. 

"Um...ok. So, as I was walking off the stage I went behind some boxes to put my clothes back on and a couple of the crew members walked over and stood in front. I don't think they knew I was there. One of them started laughing and said to the other one that...like...that they thought I had a micropenis" he bashfully whispered, eyes darting around the library again.

"Dude, what the fuck does that mean?!" I chuckled, unaware of such a term

"Well..this book says it means like I have a super small dick!" Kai shot back, apparently annoyed that I'd laughed

"How big is it, dude? Like, I don't wanna see it...but...like how many centimetres is it?" I flatly responded as I pulled my ruler out of my bag.
Kai simply stared at the ruler, internally debating whether or not to reveal the truth of how small his dick was. After a good 10 seconds, he reached out and pointed to a mark on the ruler. It was in between the 1 and 2cm mark. I didn't dare to react in any other way than nodding slightly. We sat there in awkward silence for a good few seconds. Kai looked me square in the eyes;

"...is...like...is yours bigger than that, dude?" Kai desperately inquired. "Tell the truth, dude, please!" 

I nodded, before placing my finger on the 10cm mark, which was a slight exaggeration but not far from the truth. Kai threw his hands up.

"No way! Everyone's gonna see it, dude! I never would have agreed to do it if I knew it was tiny!" Kai breathlessly uttered in barely-restrained panic. 

"Dude, don't worry! You'll be long gone before anyone from here sees! And nobody in your new town will know, anyway. It's not like they can even get this channel where they are! And anyway, it'll probably grow when you get older as well" I reasoned back. This seemed to do the trick, as I saw the panic and redness on Kai's face start to dissipate. 

"You think so? Like..it'll get bigger?" 

"For sure, dude. Everyone goes through growth spurts, don't worry about it, bro" I reasoned. Kai smiled and nodded, seemingly relieved that his best friend was there for him. 

"Come on, man. If you start acting like this and reading stuff about dicks people are going to think you're weird! Just forget about it, nobody here will ever find out. Trust me, I'll never tell anyone, ok?" I gently explained, injecting a bit of humour into it and encouraging him to relax. 

Kai nodded and shut the book as we stood up to go to class. Just as we stood up the bell rang and we braved the rain to run from the library to our classroom. As we got inside our other 20 or so classmates slowly filed in, most of them slightly soggy from the heavy rain as Mrs. Dunne welcomed everyone into class and told us to take our seats. We sat down, got out our pens and paper and started work. Over the next couple of hours the rain intensified outside and the storm which was rolling in while we were playing handball had now firmly taken hold. It was at the point of recess that Mrs. Dunne explained that we'd be remaining inside for the rest of the day, and during lunch we'd have the choice to either play some games or watch the television. Recess came and went with a number of us playing Twister and other board games, however, the general rowdiness of the class and cramped conditions lead to Mrs. Dunne giving us instructions that during the lunch break we'd only be permitted to watch the television.
Lunch time rolled around and, as the bell rang, we all got up from our seats and went into the storeroom to get our lunches from our bags. As we came back in we could see that Mrs. Dunne had rolled the big television set into the middle of the room, opposite the main entrance to the door making it impossible to see the screen when entering the room or from Mrs. Dunne's desk. We all sat in front of the television as Mrs. Dunne switched it on and started flicking through the channels to see if there was anything suitable to watch, the 10 or so girls huddled around the screen in front and the boys coalescing at the back, apparently more interested in having thumb wars and dead-arm competitions. Almost every channel that she cycled through was either static, news or boring soap operas far outside the scope of interest for 10 year old kids. This went on for a few minutes as all the children started getting bored and fidgeting, and it was at this point that Kai actually put his hand up and asked to go to the toilet. Mrs. Dunne gave him permission as he stood up and left the room. Almost as soon as Kai had left the room Mrs. Dunne finally landed on a channel with a clear signal, a couple of seconds passing before an announcement came on:

"Special announcement: due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts we will be test-airing the final episode of Dragon Run. Enjoy the program"

"Yesss! We get to see the final early!" Kailey excitedly squealed from the front row, one of the girls known to have a major crush on Kai. Kailey was definitely the prettiest girl in the class, almost always wearing long, blonde pigtails and lip gloss. She never missed an opportunity to flirt with Kai, who interestingly never seemed to reciprocate her affection. 

"Sweet, this is awesome!" Gabby chimed in, another girl who swooned over Kai. Gabby was definitely the nerd of the class, sporting a mouthful of braces and a faceful of freckles, never seen without her compendium of notes and papers. 

"Is Kai even here?" Michelle asked as she turned around and looked for him.

"Nah, he's gone to the bathroom" Kailey responded quickly, seemingly eager to get everyone to be quiet so she could oogle her crush in peace. I knew I had to say something.

"Oh, this sucks. I wanted to watch this with my folks on the weekend, can we switch to something else?" I strongly countered, trying my best to preserve Kai's modesty. The entire class booed me;

"Shut up, we get to see it before anyone else does!" Kailey shot back.

"Yeah, we wanna watch it. Miss, please keep it on!" Brianna, one of the younger girls in the class at 9 years old, also pleaded. Mrs. Dunne nodded.

"Class, this is what we're watching. And besides, there's nothing else on the other channels. Now, I expect all of you to watch this quietly or I'll switch it off immediately. I have a lot of marking to do before the end of the year and I don't want to be disturbed. Do I make myself clear?" 

The entire class nodded as the theme music kicked in and Mrs. Dunne sat behind her desk over the other side of the room, unable to see anything other than the back of the television. The theme music stopped and the show began, the first scene being Kai sneaking around the side of the warehouse and breaking in through a semi-opened window. 

"Omg, he looks so cute dressed like that" I overheard Kailey whisper to one of the other girls. A few of the girls heard this and just nodded, their eyes fixed on the television.

There was still no sign of Kai who had been out of class now for around 3 minutes. He must have been taking the long way around to the toilets to avoid the pouring rain. I racked my brain as to what to do. Should I get up and shut the TV off? Should I cause a scene and distract everyone? Should I run out and warn Kai? I didn't know what to do, and in my panic I hadn't realised just how early on in the episode the nude scene was. Just as Kai's character had stepped down from the window he'd tripped on the barrel of toxic waste with the chemicals splashing all over him. A few of the girls giggled at his reaction as the special-effect smoke started to rise from his clothes, as if to signal the chemicals were starting to eat through the fabric. Then, it started. Firstly, we all saw Kai rip his top off.
 
"Oooooh, look at Mr. Universe!" Brianna mockingly yet excitedly whispered. The rest of the girls giggled nervously, eager to let each other know how much they were enjoying it but not wanting to attract the attention of Mrs. Dunne.

"He's so hot, oh, my God" Michelle giddily whispered to Kailey, who just rapidly nodded in agreement. 

One of the girls, Abby, started to look quite concerned at where this was going - instead of the giddy excitement the rest of the girls were exhibiting she looked exceedingly worried. In contrast to most of the other girls Abby was quite plain and dumpy, her dark brown hair styled in an outdated bob and large, thick rimmed glasses perched atop a snub nose. I got the distinct impression that she had a heightened sense of empathy for those at risk of bullying as she seemed to be a victim of it herself. 

"It's not polite to talk about someone behind their back, you know" she quietly chastised. Michelle and Brianna just turned around to look at her and, almost simultaneously, rolled their eyes. 

On the screen, Kai threw his top on the ground as the smoke continued to rise from his jeans, desperately patting them down to try and remedy the effects of the chemicals. As he jumped around like a maniac the girls continued giggling audibly, causing Mrs. Dunno to look up from her marking. 

"Girls, this is your first warning. Watch quietly, do you understand?" Mrs. Dunne sternly ordered from across the room. All the girls nodded as they sat bolt upright, all sharing silent smirks with each other as Kai continued jumping up and down. Then, in one smooth move, as he jumped up he tore his jeans off and threw them across the warehouse.

The girls froze, their smirks replaced with open-mouthed shock. Kai still had his underwear on as he hopped around slightly less rapidly, the smoke still rising from the fabric as he continued patting his groin and butt to presumably stop the chemicals from eating through. I noticed that Kailey had raised her hands to her mouth as she stared wide-eyed at the screen, not daring to make a noise lest Mrs. Dunne send her outside. Gabby's wide grin fully revealed her braces as she giddily glanced around at the other girls, her body convulsing with stifled giggles. Brianna, being the youngest and smallest of the girls, tried to lean in closer to the screen, pushing one of the other girls slightly out of the way so as she could get a better view. She made no attempt to look at anything other than the screen, laser-focused on her young classmate in his underwear revealing himself on the television. Suddenly, the door swung open and Kai entered the room having returned from the bathroom, the girls barely registering that he was there in case they missed what they suspected was going to happen on the screen. Kai, surprised at the quietness of the room, inquisitively turned to Mrs. Dunne:

"Miss, what are we watching?" he asked suspiciously.

"Dragon Run. Your final episode, young man. The class is getting a sneak peek! Now go and take a seat" Mrs. Dunne warmly responded, under the impression that he would be flattered that the entire class were so interested in his acting as opposed to what was actually happening on-screen. I saw the colour drain from him as he turned to look at me, a look of total shock and panic etched across his face. His body language immediately shifted from one of carefree confidence to unbridled fear and anxiety. Just as he was about to open his mouth, it happened. 

On the screen Kai gave one last jump and ripped his underwear off, throwing them behind him as he stood motionless in the middle of the warehouse. The camera left nothing to the imagination as Kai stood perfectly still, acting in sublime relief at finally removing his acid-ridden clothing. He was right - micropenis was almost too small a description of what afflicted him. His puny, uncircumcised penis extended no more than a single centimetre away from his body, his testicles barely visible and, debatably, not even descended. The most jarring contradiction of the entire scene was not just that his supple, athletic and well-developed body was in stark contrast to his infantile penis, but that he seemed so comfortable in revealing what would be, to most boys, a source of extreme shame and embarrassment. It really came across in his acting that he'd honestly suspected nothing was amiss or irregular with his development - on the contrary it seemed that he was intensely proud of his body and unafraid to reveal it in all its glory. Little did he know that "glorious" was perhaps the least apt description for his extremely underdeveloped genitals. For a few painful seconds of silence the entire class sat there, trying to process what they'd just seen. Even the boys at the back stared at the screen in total shock. The colour, once drained from Kai's face, suddenly returned with vigour and the poor boy flushed as red as a beetroot as he stood there trembling, not knowing where to go or what to say. The girls stared at the screen with a mixture of shock, excitement and lust etched in their faces, the impact of the moment almost too much for them to take in - all the girls, that is, except for Abby. Abby sat there with her hands clasped over her mouth, her eyes betraying the hurt and empathy she must have been feeling for Kai. A few seconds passed until the silence was broken by, of all people, little Brianna.

"It's smaller than this!" she whispered loudly enough to be heard by all the girls in the front, holding up a pencil and pointing to the tiny eraser on the end. All the girls turned in silence to look, before erupting into venomous laughter. Kailey looked straight at Kai, wide-eyed with a toothy grin, and pointed to somewhere outside the classroom:

"I think you came into the wrong class, Kai, the Kindergarten is back there" she chortled.

"Kailey, come on, that's mean. He shouldn't be in Kindergarten. He should be in class 1CM!" Gabby tittered, her face red from both excitement and restraining her urge to cackle in the poor boy's face. 

"Huh? I don't get it?" Michelle queried, tilting her head to one said as she looked at Gabby.

"Oh, my God, Shell. CM. C. M. Like, you know, centimetre. So, like, 1 centimetre, duh!" Gabby spat back while pointing directly at Kai's crotch, seemingly annoyed at having to explain what she considered a pretty obvious joke. Michelle looked offended and desperately tried to play it off:

"Oh, no, I mean I knew what you meant! I knew it meant centimetres! I was saying, like, I don't get how it's so small. Like, my little brother is 2 and even his is bigger than that" she clumsily spluttered, as the other girls simply smirked at her trying to wriggle her way out of her own embarrassment. Kailey took the opportunity to join in again.

"Shell, it doesn't matter if you have a small brain. There's someone in here with something even tinier" she playfully purred, simultaneously managing to embarrass both Michelle and Kai. All the girls cracked up again, with the obvious exception of Abby, who remained disturbed by the entire scene:

"Guys, come on. That's enough, he's never done anything to you! Leave him alone!" she pleaded, barely audibly, as if the trauma Kai was feeling was somehow being channelled through her. Mrs. Dunne looked up from her desk.

"Girls, enough. Final warning. No more noise. Kai, go and sit down" she firmly ordered, completely unaware of what was playing on the television and too far away to understand the context of the girls' taunts. Kai, as red as a tomato, robotically shuffled over and sat down next to me staring at the floor. By this stage the scene had moved on and Kai was now wearing the burlap sack as he searched for a way out of the warehouse. Kyle, one of the boys behind us and well-known as the class tough-guy reached over and prodded Kai as the girls turned around to face him:

"Don't worry, dude. If you lose your clothes again you can use this to cover up" he taunted as he handed the humiliated boy a small, folded-up Post-It note no bigger than a few centimetres. Kai simply looked up and took it off him in silence, as if he knew there was no point arguing or fighting back. The whole class knew he had an extreme case of micropenis and nothing he could say or do would change that. As Kai went to put the Post-It note on the floor Michelle saw an opportunity to regain some of her pride and leant over the other girls to pass a small pen lid to him:

"Here you go, Kai. I know it's probably too big but at least if you lose your pants again it'll cover everything up!" she mockingly jeered, as Kai held his hand out and let her drop the pen lid into his palm. The girls all stifled embarrassed laughs as they continued whispering amongst each other, not taking their eyes off Kai. Abby spoke up again:

"You guys are bitches, what's he ever done to you? He can't help it, it's not even that small!". Kailey rolled her eyes again:

"Abby, shut up, as if it isn't. And dude, honestly, why did you film that? You seriously have the tiniest dick ever!" she viciously scolded, as if to purge the anger she felt inside at having a crush on Kai for so long and having those feelings destroyed in 10 seconds at the revelation of his incredibly small boyhood. The rest of the girls turned to her in shock, eyes bugging and mouths agape as if they couldn't believe what they'd just heard.

"Kailey, that's soooo harsh!" Gabby giggled through snorts of laughter. Kailey just turned to her and shrugged;

"It's the truth. I mean, come on. You can't even call that a dick, it looks more like a pimple!" she nonchalantly responded. 

"What should we call it then?" Gabby asked in earnest, as if to challenge Kailey to provide a reasonable definition of something rarely seen. 

"Oi, babydick, everyone's gonna find out after this you know, right?" hissed Brent, one of the boys at the back. 

"Babydick! Oh, my God. That's sooooo your new nickname, dude!" Gabby giddily added, as she turned to Brianna.

"That's such a good name for him, it's like the lamest band name ever! Lil' Babydick!" Kailey guffawed, relishing the opportunity to stick the knife in one more time. 

"Yeah, BD! BD, BD, BD!" Brianna added softly, as if to start a chant. The rest of the girls quietly started repeating "BD, BD, BD" barely above the level of a whisper. Mrs. Dunne became suspicious again:

"Girls, why are you turning around? Is there something you'd like to share with everyone?" she queried. The girls turned around in silence but with huge, cheeky grins on all their faces.

"Well, who's going to answer me?" Mrs. Dunne demanded, her voice slightly raised. 

"Oh, it's nothing Miss. Just a little joke" Gabby eventually replied, emphasising the word "little". 

"Yeah Miss. It's nothing big" Michelle chimed in, The rest of the girls were starting to go red from containing their chortling.

"Nothing big? It certainly seems like something big, madam!" Mrs. Dunne countered, not exactly angry but rather bemused with the cryptic responses.

"Oh, it's definitely nothing big, Miss. We were just having a tiny chat" Kailey playfully yet calmly offered, further pushing the girls to the brink of outright cackling. Mrs. Dunno looked sceptical, but acquiesced.

"But we'll be quiet now, Miss. We're not babies" Brianna smarmily chimed in with. 

"Well, let's lower the volume and face the front please girls. I want you all to watch the rest of the show in silence, alright? We don't want you all going into year 7 with an underdeveloped sense of maturity, do we?" 

The girls all stifled another giggle as they bit their lips and dared not look at each other. Michelle affirmed Mrs. Dunne's instructions:

"Of course not, Miss. We don't want anything to be underdeveloped!" 

Mrs. Dunne went and sat back down as the class started to settle down and watch the rest of the episode. Every now and then the girls would sneak a peek at Kai and begin excitedly whispering to each other - Kai simply sat there stony-faced as he watched himself run around the town covered only by a burlap sack, dreading the moment when the episode finished and the reality of the entire school finding out about his micropenis while he was still in town sank in. I noticed Abby looking at him from across the room and, when their eyes met, mouthing "I'm sorry!" This just seemed to upset Kai more. I tried to reason with him:

"Sorry, dude. I tried to get them to turn it off but they wouldn't. You only have a week left before you never have to see anyone from here again, ok?" I softly whispered as I patted his back. He just nodded silently and gave me a small smile. And so, for the next 20 minutes or so, we sat there silently watching the rest of the show. About 5 minutes before lunch ended the rain stopped, the clouds parted and slivers of sunlight began to break through the haze. Normally, this would be cause for celebration for Kai, but he knew that every minute spent outside the classroom meant the uncovering of his secret shame. The episode ended and the credits began to roll as Mrs. Dunne walked over and started to wheel the television back into the storeroom.

"Ok, class. For the remainder of the day you can play outside. Come back in at 3pm to get your bags!" Mrs. Dunne instructed as everyone stood up. 
Kai and I stood up along with everyone else and waited for the room to clear. The girls made a beeline for the door, cheekily chanting "BD, BD, BD" on their way past Kai, whereas the boys simply walked by laughing. The room emptied with the exception of myself, Kai and, curiously, Abby. She walked over to us.

"Kai, those girls are real bitches. Don't worry about them, I won't say anything to anyone, ok?" she warmly offered, her eyes full of compassion and sincerity. You could tell she really felt bad for the poor boy, and was doing her best to support him. Kai just nodded and smiled back.

"And anyway, I think it looks cute. Like a little earring" she added with a sympathetic smile.

Kai didn't smile this time. He just nodded, blankly, as it dawned on Abby what she'd just said. 

"Oh...I mean...Sorry, I didn't mean little...I just meant...I was trying to say 'good things come in small packages'" she managed to stammer out in desperation, eager to avoid embarrassing him any further. It dawned on her almost immediately that she'd said "small". Kai just stared at her - not with anger, but with resignation that he would be defined, for the next week at least, as nothing more than a boy with an extraordinarily small dick.

"Not small! Sorry! I don't know what I'm trying to say, I just wanted to let you know it looks...you know...cute and...umm....yeah, cute! And even though it's...um....kinda...like not as big...or as long...or...like" she continued desperately stammering her way through a painful apology, until she was interrupted by a voice from the window. It was Kailey eavesdropping.

"You're trying to say 'he has a babydick!'" came Kailey's inevitable insult, which would be echoed throughout the school for the final week. Kai looked crushed.

"Piss off! Bitch!" Abby retorted as she moved closer and gave Kai a big hug.

"Don't listen to her, I'll be your friend even if you do have...well...you know. I won't say it" Abby said as gently as she could. Kai just nodded and smiled back, finally accepting that Abby was just trying to help him feel a modicum of warmth after what must have been the most embarrassing moment of his life so far. 

And with that, we all walked out to the playground, ready to support Kai through what would become the most humiliating week of his young life.

After the events of the most humiliating day of Kai's life and subsequent week of utter embarrassment, the school term finally ended. The last week had been hell on Earth for Kai - as expected, word quickly spread around school as soon as the girls left the classroom, and that night all the students sat glued to their TVs at home for a glimpse at Kai's terrible shame. Throughout the taunts, the constant chants of "babydick" and endless mockery and giggling, Abby transformed herself into Kai's biggest defender. Chaperoning him through the playground every recess and lunch she eagerly became Kai's strongest pillar of support. Whenever she spotted a group of girls ready to hurl invective at the poor boy she distracted him. Whenever one of the boys yelled "babydick" across the yard she scowled back at them. Whenever she spotted a crude drawing of an extremely under-endowed Kai on his desk or sticky-taped to his locker she crumpled it up before he noticed. It's safe to say that if it wasn't for her unwavering willingness to show him that, at the very least, someone cared about his plight, I doubt Kai would have dared venture back to school for the remainder of the week. We also found out that both myself and Abby would be joining Kai next year at his new school and that, luckily, no other students from our school would be attending.


As the bell rang on the final day before finishing up Abby, Kai and myself left class and started walking across the playground to our waiting parents.


"It's so cool we'll be together next year, Kai!" Abby cheerfully declared. "I know this week's been crap, but you're awesome! And next year you won't have to worry about this ever again."


Kai looked at her in gratitude as he earnestly responded;


"Thanks, dude. You've been sooooo cool and...like...I just want to say thanks"


Kai unexpectedly stopped walking and faced Abby, before enveloping her in a bear hug. Abby flushed red as he let go and stepped back:


"S...ss...sorry. I just...yeah. Thanks...I didn't know how else to show it" Kai stammered out, slightly embarrassed.


"Dude, it's cool. I don't know how to say it...but...you're like my best friend. Kinda my only friend..." Abby responded quietly. Kai just smiled back at her and nodded, as if to indicate the feeling was definitely mutual. Abby's eyes curiously dropped to Kai's crotch momentarily before looking back up at him:


"And don't worry, dude. I won't tell anyone about you-know-what" she whispered barely audibly, innocently dropping her eyes back down below his belt-line. Kai blushed profusely, and nodded robotically, as if the mere mention of his condition sucked all the life out of him. Abby backtracked once she realised what she'd said:


"Shit, sorry! I didn't mean to bring it up...I just want you to know that I'll never, ever tell anyone, ok?!" she stammered, meaning well but still not fully realising that focusing on it for even a moment was enough to bring the poor boy to tears. Kai's expression softened, as if he was starting to understand that Abby wasn't mentioning it out of spite or meanness, but that she just couldn't quite fully grasp why it was such an unbelievably sensitive issue for a young boy.


"It's...it's ok. I just...like...if anyone finds out again..." Kai jarringly tried to respond. "Like, I'll never live it down, I'll probably have to change schools...". Abby nodded understandingly.


"Don't worry, I cross my heart and hope to die. I won't tell anyone. Ever. And anyway, it won't last forever! You'll get a growth spurt soon like everyone else and then you'll be normal" she beamed, completely failing to understand that this condition was, for all intents and purposes, permanent. Kai looked down at the ground briefly, before looking back up and straight into her eyes.


"Listen, Abby. Um...like...I read about what this is. It's...like. It's permanent..." he managed to sputter, frustrated and despondent. Abby stared back, mouth slightly agape.


"Are...are you serious? Like, it'll always be tiny?" she flatly queried, before realising her innocent error again.


"Sorry! I didn't mean tiny. I mean, like...will it ever...is that all...oh, God. I don't know how to ask. It won't grow any more?" she compassionately asked. Kai just shook his head slowly.


"Um...well. Dude, don't worry about it. I'll never, ever tell anyone. I swear on my Mum's life, ok?!" she bargained, not quite sure what to say. Kai nodded gently, a soft smile forming on his lips. He knew he could trust her.


"Come on, let's go. Only 6 more weeks and then we'll be half-way across the state and we won't have to talk about this ever again!" she energetically said, as we all started walking over to our parents.


Kai hopped in his parent's car, waving goodbye to both of us before driving off. Abby clambered into the backseat of her parent's Mercedes, an incredibly expensive car for the time. We didn't quite know it at the time, but Abby was from one of the wealthiest families in the area and she had access to all types of gizmos and gadgets that weren't widely available in the late 1970s. Including a VCR recorder.


The 6 weeks passed quickly and before we knew it we were all meeting again outside the front gate of our new school - Bellgrove High School. As soon as Kai and Abby saw each other they enveloped each other in a huge bear hug, genuinely happy to see each other again. I found out that they'd both been hanging out with each other regularly throughout the summer holidays and had started to form an even closer relationship. We walked into school together for our orientation session and were slightly surprised to learn that this was a fairly small school - in our grade, Year 7, there were only around 60 students from across the state. For the first few days it was quite awkward figuring out the pecking order but, soon enough, the children started naturally breaking off into groups of like-minded peers. Kai and myself eventually peeled off into the 'jocks' grouping of sporty kids and popular girls. The nerdy kids formed their own little group. Abby, as usual, seemed quite awkward around the cohort but quickly made friends with a girl called Heidi. For the first few weeks there was a natural mixing of kids from all the groups, particularly kids who had been at the same Primary Schools together, and this wasn't any different for Kai, Abby and myself. We'd still regularly hang around at lunch but, as the weeks progressed, we started to see less and less of Abby. She didn't seem particularly happy about this as she was getting quite close to Heidi, but you could tell she was a little bit hurt at Kai's sudden disregard of someone who'd played such an integral part in supporting him through the most embarrassing period of his young life.


Things started to change about 5 weeks into the school year. All the kids were now firmly in their assorted groups and, as is the way with children, tribal loyalties started to play an increasingly important part in their social development. Kai began to regain his lost confidence, secure in the knowledge that not only was he an extremely athletic, tall and good-looking young boy, but that nobody at this new school suspected anything abnormal in his physical development. He began carrying himself with a mildly arrogant swagger as he started to realise just how popular he was becoming - to him, Abby was starting to cramp his style and he started getting annoyed at her attempts to hang out with him at lunch time.


"Dude, Abby keeps trying to latch on to us at lunch. Nobody else in the group likes her!" he exclaimed to me one day as we walked down the hall.


"I know, dude. But she's always been a bit awkward. Maybe just hang out with her once a week. She's still cool" I tried to reason, knowing the potential leverage she had over Kai. He wasn't having any of it.


"I've gotta tell her to stop, man. If I keep hanging out with her the other guys will think I'm just as lame as her" he coldly responded.


"Dude, just remember...she knows something nobody else knows. She could tell..." I softly reminded him. He stopped flat in his tracks and stared me down.


"Man, she has no proof. That shitty series will never be repeated. Nobody will ever see it again" he hissed.


"I know, dude. But if she tells..." I started to respond until Kai cut me off.


"Nobody will believe her, dude! It's her word against mine, and she has like one friend here. Who cares anymore" he exploded, the weeks of frustration and feelings of injustice bubbling their way to the surface. I just stepped back and nodded, eager not to inflame the situation. I knew that once Kai had made a decision on something it was extremely difficult, if not impossible, to convince him otherwise. He lowered his tone:


"Sorry, man. I didn't mean to yell. But I'm going to tell her this lunchtime not to come around anymore. It has to be done, dude."


I just nodded, as we headed off to our first class of the day.


The bell rang for recess as we all headed out of the classroom to the playground, a swarm of jocks flocking to Kai as he basked in his new-found popularity. Like clockwork, Abby and Heidi approached Kai;


"Hey dude, how was maths? It's sooooo boring, hey!" Abby casually enquired. Kai grunted.


"Yeah, anyway I'll talk to you later Abby" he coldly responded as he turned his back on her.


"Ummm, ok. Guess I'll see you later" Abby quietly responded, visibly confused as Kai walked away from her.


"Wow, he seemed pissed off. Maths must have been really boring" Heidi pondered aloud. Although still pretty, Heidi was very much cut from the same cloth as Abby. A mouthful of braces dominated her facial features, almost distracting from the mass of freckles dotting her slightly upturned nose. Her pale skin contrasted violently with the thick, wavy locks of red hair perched atop her head, pulled back into a tight ponytail as if to tame it into submission. She wore an oversize school sweater, but you could still tell it was hiding a thin, fragile body - her skinny legs almost disappearing into her large, white sneakers.


"Yeah...whatever. Let's go to the canteen" Abby suspiciously added as the two trapsed off to get some chips. I walked after Kai:


"Dude, that was harsh. You don't have to be so mean to her about it. She doesn't know she's done anything wrong" I chastened.


"Man, who cares. She has to learn the hard way or it won't sink in. I've got a chance to be popular again, I'm not gonna throw it away on her" he flatly responded.


"Dude, you gotta be careful. You piss her off and she'll tell people. I mean, she'll definitely tell Heidi" I shot back.


"And? I told you, it's her word against mine and I've actually got more than one weird friend. Don't worry about it, dude. She's gotta learn" he flippantly countered.


There wasn't anything else I could do, other than try to soften the impact on Abby. The bell rang shortly after and we all made our way back into the classroom.


Lunchtime arrived as we all filed out of class again, the throng of students pushing their way to the playground to stake their claim on the best spot. Again, Abby and Heidi approached us before we had a chance to make it to the jocks. I immediately saw Kai roll his eyes.


"Hi guys! Wanna come to the canteen with us? We're gonna get pizza to..." Abby kindly offered, before being cut off by Kai.


"Abby, stop. I didn't want to tell you this way, but you can't take the hint. We can't hang around anymore, ok?" Kai spitefully hissed. Abby looked stunned. She just stood there, mouth agape, trying to rationalise why Kai was being like this.


"Wha...why?! How come, what did I do?" she dejectedly asked.


"Nothing. You didn't do anything. But we've both got our groups now. Ok?" was the icy response from Kai.


"But that doesn't mean we can't like, you know, at least talk to each other" Abby replied, her voice gently wavering.


"Yeah, it does. Sorry, it's just the way it is, Abby" came the retort.


She looked crushed as she lowered her eyes to the floor. It was hard to tell, but you could almost see her fighting back tears. An awkward silence descended on us for a few seconds until she looked back up, anger replacing the sadness on her face:


"You don't have to be so mean about it. I was there for you last year when...you know" she breathlessly reasoned. Kai was taken slightly aback, but undeterred from his path simply responded:


"Well, things change. Get over it. Make some new friends, far out"


"Seriously?! After everyone was saying those...those things! I defended you!" Abby desperately pleaded.


"So what?! People change, deal with it" Kai responded.


"You're just like all the others, idiot!" Heidi unexpectedly threw in, finding the courage to stick up for her mistreated friend.


"Shut up, Heidi. You have no idea what you're talking about. Stupid ginger!" Kai shot back. Abby's eyes widened and her nostrils flared - insulting her was one thing, but insulting her new friend was like a red rag to a bull.


"No, you shut up! You're the one being an idiot! Babyd..." she furiously countered, abruptly stopping herself before uttering the phrase she'd promised both Kai and herself never to repeat. Kai stood there, stunned. His body language rapidly shifted from confidence to submission. Heidi turned to look at Abby, who was seemingly wrestling with herself internally as to whether or not to say what she really wanted to:


"Baby...what? What were you gonna say, Abby?" she curiously asked.


"Nothing. It's just...nothing. Forget it" Abby scowled, before turning around and running off in the direction of the library.


"You're such a dick, Kai. Heidi yelled before giving chase to Abby. I glared at Kai.


"She was THIS close to telling, dude" I growled. Kai nodded nervously.


"I...I know. Dude, can you go and talk to her? Tell her not to say anything, please man. Or I'll make sure you're never part of our group. Got it!"


I was stunned. I didn't take kindly to threats but I realised how petrified Kai must have been at all his new friends finding out about his situation. I turned and started walking towards the library, hoping to get a few minutes alone with Abby before she said anything to Heidi. It took me a few minutes to get there but as I walked inside and started walking up the stairs I saw Heidi slowly approaching Abby, who was sitting down behind one of the shelves of books. They hadn't seen me, so I decided to sneak behind the bookshelf and eavesdrop on what they were saying, waiting to jump out and intervene if Abby started saying anything too revealing. Peeking through the rows of books I watched as Heidi sat down beside the gently sobbing Abby.


"Are you ok? He's being such an idiot!" Heidi gently asked as she put her hand on Abby's shoulder.


"Yeah, I'm fine. I just thought we were really good friends, you know?" she quietly responded.


"Yeah, I could tell. I don't know why he's changed, it seems to happen with a lot of boys" she reasoned.


"I didn't think he'd change though. He always seemed so cool" Abby softly replied. Heidi just nodded in agreement and rubbed her shoulder before changing tone:


"Abby...when you called him a 'baby', you kind of stopped before you finished. What were you gonna say?" she inquisitively probed


"Oh, yeah. That. I'm really sorry, Heidi. I can't say. I promised I wouldn't say anything" Abby diplomatically answered.


"Oh, come on. I promise I won't tell anyone else. I swear!" Heidi quickly countered.


"I...I don't think I can. Like, I promised him I'd never tell..." Abby replied, less sure of herself this time.


"Oh please! Come on, who am I gonna tell? You're, like, my only friend here!" Heidi pleaded, more forcefully this time.


I realised I had a decision to make. On one hand, Kai was my best friend, and I'd promised to help him keep his secret in whatever way I could. On the other hand, he'd been cruel, arrogant and totally out of line with Abby, who had been there for him in the worst time of his life. If I intervened, there was the potential that Abby would lose the only friend she'd made at her new school, whereas if I let her spill her secret the worst that would happen was a little bit of gossip and mild embarrassment until it all blew over. I mean, there wasn't any proof and there was no chance of the series being repeated outside of our small town. I decided to let the conversation run its course.


"Ok, I'll tell you. But you seriously have to promise never to tell anyone. You need to swear, deal?!" Abby instructed, the seriousness of her tone underscoring the gravity of the situation.


"Ok, ok. I swear. I swear on my Mum's life! Now tell!" Heidi giddily responded.


"Ok. Well...I was going to say 'babydick'. That was, well, kind of his nickname at school last year" Abby quietly divulged.


"What?! What do you mean? You mean, like, he's got a small dick? He looks like he'd have a really big one!" Heidi excitedly clarified.


"Um. Yeah. Small is one way to describe it" Abby cryptically replied.


"Um...well...how do you actually know? Oh, my God, did you see it?!" Heidi squealed.


"Shhhh! Keep your voice down. And yes, the entire school saw it!" Abby shot back.


"What do you mean?! How did the entire school see it?! You're making this up, aren't you?" Heidi sceptically responded, prompting a more in-depth response from Abby.


For the next 5 minutes Abby went through the entire event in detail - when it happened, who saw it, everything. She gave an encyclopedic outline of Dragon Run and what the series was about, the plotline for the final episode, the events in the show which lead to Kai's undressing, the reactions of the class, the teasings, the nicknames and, most importantly, the unwavering support she had given Kai throughout the entire ordeal. Heidi sat there mouth agape, her eyes bulging with disbelief as she fidgeted nervously with her hands. The one thing she didn't mention was the exact size of Kai's boyhood - as she finished her story Heidi sat there nervously pondering whether or not to ask the million dollar question. After a few seconds she plucked up the requisite courage;


"So...like...how big was it?" she whispered


"Tiny. Why do you think we called him 'babydick'?" she cheekily responded, starting to enjoy the revenge she was getting on the boy who had just treated her so cruelly.


"Oh, come on. Tell! How long was it?" Heidi begged.


Abby shook her head from side to side with pursed lips, realising that revealing the true extent of Kai's lack of endowment would condemn the boy to endless mockery if it ever got around the new school.


"Come on! Give me a hint. Was it smaller than a crayon?" she desperately pleaded. For reference, a crayon back in the 1970s was roughly 12cm long.


Abby sat there stoically with a conflicted grin, seemingly still grappling with her desire to hurt the boy who'd just hurt her so badly, and the recognition of the sheer intensity of the embarrassment she'd cause Kai if she was to let his secret slip.


"Well...like...this big?" Heidi asked with her head tilted to the side as she estimated a length of roughly 10cm with her thumb and index finger.


Abby grinned, as if to signify that Heidi was so far off the mark as to be laughable, and giddily shook her head from side to side.


"Hah! I knew it wasn't that tiny. So, like this big?" she giggled as she expanded the distance between her thumb and finger to around 13cm, a broad grin forming on her lips as she finally got to start the process of deciphering just how small Kai's boyhood really was.


Abby's smirk grew. She shook her head again before whispering, barely audibly, "way smaller". This took Heidi completely by surprise, her grin disappearing instantaneously, replaced with stony-faced disbelief at just how small his package must be.


Heidi reduced the length again to around 8cm. With her eyes widened and jaw hanging open she didn't have to ask for a response this time. Abby simply shook her head again and squeaked "keep going", doing her best to stifle a cruel giggle. With her eyes bulging in excited surprise and lips pursed shut in a futile attempt to stifle a gasp, Heidi reduced the length to barely above 5cm. Abby leant in closer and, with barely disguised glee, chortled "keep going!". Heidi, the colour drained from her face, reduced the distance for a final time, settling on just above 1cm. Abby nodded vigorously as Heidi simply stared at the 1cm distance between her thumb and index finger in shock, before looking Abby straight in the eyes - both the girls erupted into barely suppressed giggles, conscious of the need to keep their giddiness under control in the library.


"Oh, my God. It's like the eraser at the end of a pencil" Heidi managed to stammer between giggles.


"Heidi! That's exactly what one of the girls in my old class said! Oh, my God!" Abby cackled.


"Seriously, it can't be that small. 1cm is, like...I mean, even a newborn baby has a bigger willy than that!" Heidi stated with an air of scepticism.


"I know, apparently it's called a micropenis" Abby flatly responded.


"Oh, my God. There's actually a name for it?!" Heidi questioned.


"Yep. And, like, there's probably only about 10 boys in the country as small as Kai" she mockingly answered, scrunching her nose up cheekily.


"No way! You're making this up. I can't even imagine something that tiny!" Heidi playfully accused.


"Well, why don't you ask Blake? He saw the whole thing, too" Abby challenged.


"Deal! Let's go find him" she replied.


"I mean, he's Kai's best friend so he might say I'm lying! I'm not, though. I swear to God!" Abby qualified


"Yeah, yeah. Sure" Heidi impatiently shot back.


And so I watched as the girls stood up and started to make their way out of the library. I made sure to hide myself well until they'd left and then cautiously made my way out to the playground - I went and stood next to the bike sheds, far enough away from the other kids that they wouldn't be able to overhear our conversation but still visible enough that the girls could find me, and started pretending to search for something. Sure enough, after about 5 minutes, Abby and Heidi came walking up to me.


"Hi Blake!" Heidi cheerfully greeted me as I simply nodded back to her. Abby trailed behind her, nervously fidgeting with her bracelet and hardly making eye contact with me. I pretended not to know what this was all about.


"What are you doing back here?" Abby asked with her head cocked to the side.


"Oh, one of the guys reckons he dropped his keychain when he put his bike in here this morning. I'm just looking for it" I replied, trying to sound as disinterested as I could. The girls stood there for a few moments watching me look for a non-existent keychain until Heidi stepped gingerly towards me and slightly poked me on the shoulder. I turned around, looked at her and raised my eyebrows, inviting her query. She cleared her throat and opened her mouth, before sharply turning around to look at Abby.


"Go ahead. Ask him" Abby encouraged. Heidi turned back around to face me.


"So...this is gonna sound weird...but we need to ask you a question" Heidi quietly stated. At this point, Abby was almost hiding behind her.


"Um, ok? What's it about?" I asked, feigning ignorance.


"It's about Kai..." Abby added from over Heidi's shoulder.


"Look, I know he was mean to you today. He's just really trying to make some new friends - you know how tough it was for him at the end of last year..." I gently offered


"Well...it's actually about last year, Blake. See...Heidi knows now..." Abby mumbled, embarrassed that she'd only been able to keep her promise to Kai for a couple of months, before staring shamefully at the ground.


"...Knows what, Abby? You don't mean...Dragon Run?" I said in manufactured concern. Abby looked back up at me and slowly nodded her head.


"Holy shit! You told her!? Why?!" I hissed in fake outrage. Abby just looked down in shame.


"So it is true! Oh, my God. And your whole school saw the show?!" Heidi giddily enquired. I just nodded slowly, pretending to be too afraid to say it aloud.


"Abby, why did you tell her?!" I asked, slightly raising my voice.


"You saw what Kai did today! After I defended him against everyone else in school! He deserved it!" Abby shot back angrily. I softened my glare and, after a few seconds, gently nodded back to her, silently agreeing that his behaviour today had been totally uncalled for.


"Look, Kai was such a dick to her today. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone else...but, like, was it really that small?" Heidi asked, her tone softening and giddiness subsiding, as if she was preparing herself for the revelation that Kai actually didn't have a 1cm long penis.


"Well...yeah. It was...let's just say smaller than average" I diplomatically answered.


"Whoa, so it is true! So it was really only this big? Heidi asked excitedly. She held her hand up and, once again, estimated the size with her thumb and index finger. Curiously, as if to try and call Abby's bluff, she indicated a little over 10cm. I reflexively let out a small chuckle before adding.


"Pfft, don't be stupid, Heidi. It's nowhere near that size."


"Hah! I knew it! There's no way it could have been as small as Abby said" Heidi responded triumphantly, turning to Abby as if to brag that she'd been caught out. I had another choice to make. I could either contradict Abby and, in effect, brand her as a vicious liar in front of the only friend she'd made at school. Or, I could tell her the truth - I could throw my best friend under the bus and risk the entire school finding out about his micropenis. I made the calculation that, even if the secret did get out, there was no proof to back it up and he'd quickly recover from what everyone would realise was just a nasty rumour. I decided to tell the truth, and interrupted Heidi gently.


"Um, no, Heidi. I mean...it was, like, um. You know...a lot smaller than that" I quietly responded.


Abby shielded her eyes with her hand and, with a bashful smirk, let out an almost silent "Oh, my God" as Heidi turned back around to face me, the smile wiped from her lips and replaced with open-mouthed shock. She slowly held her hand up again and, this time, reduced the distance between her thumb and index finger to the more accurate length of around 1cm. She stared at me in silence, wide-eyed, with her face flushing red from the excitement, as if she was daring me to confirm what Abby had been telling her this whole time. A few seconds passed. Without breaking eye contact I slowly nodded my head up and down in silence, lips pursed and brows furrowed, trying to convey the seriousness of what I was now revealing. Heidi abruptly clasped her hands over her gaping mouth and started loudly cackling, a mixture of excitement, embarrassment and spite flavouring her laugh. Even Abby allowed herself a slight giggle at Heidi's reaction. Heidi slowly calmed down and turned to face Abby again:


"Sorry, I guess you were right. Sucks to be Kai, right?!" she playfully purred, enveloping Abby in a big hug.


"Thanks for telling me, I promise I won't tell anyone else" she softly said as she stopped her embrace. Abby smiled back, happy that her exposure of Kai's secret shame had actually seemed to bring the two new friends closer together.


"I mean, it must have been so embarrassing for him, but at least he'll grow out of it. Everyone has a growth spurt in like year 9, right?" Heidi asked. Abby and I looked at each other before looking at Heidi - it was as if we were both debating whether or not to go one step further and tell her the brutal truth. Abby took the initiative.


"Heidi...it's. Like, that's as big as it will ever go. It's permanent." Abby solemnly said. Once again, the redness flushed across Heidi's face as that huge, cheesy, braces-filled grin returned.


"You mean, he'll be a grown-up with a 1cm long dick?!" she squealed in giddy excitement.


"Yep...a permanent babydick!" Abby cackled back, fully embracing her new-found, justified meanness towards the boy. And with this the two girls erupted into fits of ecstatic laughter, indulging in their sadism, drawn together through the mockery of a boy's unfortunate under-endowment. As they continued cackling, Kai suddenly appeared from around the corner. I quickly turned my head towards him and coughed so as to alert the two giggling schoolgirls.


"Where've you been, dude? Come on, let's go. I don't wanna be late to gym" Kai brusquely demanded of me, before noticing the two red-faced, grinning girls standing across from me.


"What's so funny, huh? You two both look in a mirror?" Kai snapped.


The girls stood there staring at Kai, grinning broadly. Normally, an insult like that from a boy would hurt them, but not today. Today, they realised that for all the things Kai could say to them, or about them, there was nothing that could be more embarrassing than the 1cm long appendage hiding shamefully behind his pants. Kai was confused.


"Well? What are you guys snickering at?" he asked again, less force in his voice and more curiosity.


"Oh, Blake was looking for a keychain and a lizard crawled on his arm. He screamed and it made us laugh" Abby dryly responded, obviously still extremely hurt at the way Kai had acted towards her.


"Yeah, but you should have seen it. It was soooo tiny" Heidi giddily added, eliciting a stern glare from Abby.


"Um, ok? Why is that funny? It's just a dumb lizard" Kai countered.


"I don't know, it was just funny seeing something so small. It was...it was kind of like a microlizard!" Heidi cheekily responded. Abby glared at her.


"Heidi, shut up!" she quietly hissed as Heidi simply stood there smirking, enjoying the little game she'd decided to play with Kai.


"Oh, so you got all pissed off at me for being rude, but you're telling Heidi to shut up?" Kai scowled at Abby. Abby was taken aback.


"I'm still her friend! I didn't just tell her not to talk to me anymore and cut her off, like you did to me!" Abby fired back.


"Well maybe that's because she isn't a nerdy clinger-on who couldn't take a hint!" Kai returned, his voice raised.


"After all I did for you! You're just a...a...stupid, stuck-up brat! Idiot!" Abby screamed back. With this Kai stepped forward and, to the surprise of all three of us, forcefully shoved Abby back with his hands. The poor girl stumbled back in shock, hardly believing that her once-best friend would ever put his hands on her.


"Hey! Leave her alone, idiot!" Heidi shouted, stepping forward to confront Kai face-to-face


"Or what, brace-face? What are you going to do, bite me?" Kai snapped.


"No, but maybe I'll tell everyone what a...a...a babydick you are!" Heidi spat back, loud enough to be heard by all of us but quietly enough to remain unheard by everyone else. Kai stood there dumbstruck - the colour drained from his face and he stepped back in shock. He turned to me and, with a look of horror and pure rage, asked:


"Dude! Did...did you tell her?!"


I shook my head from side-to-side rapidly, lost for words. I didn't want to blame Abby, but before I could speak she outed herself.


"I told her. I told her everything" Abby said, almost monotonously. Heidi perceptibly dropped her shoulders back and lifted her gaze to meet Kai as she stepped towards him once again. Swivelling his head to face her, as Heidi took a deep breath and began to unload on the young boy, Kai stood there trembling with fear and anger.


"Yeah. That's right. I know all about Dragon Run. I know how your tiny, puny dick is only 1cm long. I know it's called a micropenis, and I know it'll never, ever get any bigger! I know that you'll have to live the rest of your life so embarrassed by that microscopic thing in your undies that you'll never have a girlfriend! So why don't you piss off before I tell everyone in the whole school, babydick!" Heidi venomously retorted through clenched teeth, the fury of seeing her friend physically bullied by a much larger boy overriding any lingering compulsions she had about preserving Kai's feelings. Abby's grin returned with a vengeance, her confidence brimming as her new friend defended her with the same ferocity as she'd defended Kai all those weeks ago. The boy stood there, quivering.


"Fuck you both! Fuck you, Abby, for being a stupid, needy, whiny bitch! And fuck you, too, brace-face! You don't think I'll ever get a girlfriend? As if any boy would want to kiss something with a mouthful of metal. See, I'm actually popular now. People like me, and people trust me. Do you really think they're gonna pay attention to two nerdy loners spreading a stupid rumour?" Kai shouted back, his confidence returning as he realised that, without proof, a mere rumour wasn't enough to hurt a boy as socially dominant as him. Heidi visibly deflated, her anger residing as the reality of the situation set in. Abby, on the other hand, maintained her grin as she started to gently chuckle.


"You think it's funny, huh? Go ahead. Tell people, I don't care. They'll believe me over an ugly, four-eyed dork like you, bitch" Kai exploded. The girls just stood there.


"And if you wanna hang around with these two, go ahead. Count yourself out of the group, dickhead" Kai spat at me, as the bell rang in the background he turned around and stomped off to class.


As we stood there, taken aback by the viciousness of Kai's threats, Heidi dejectedly assessed the situation.


"He's right, guys. It's us against pretty much everyone else. It doesn't matter if we tell people, they won't believe us"


"He's turning into such a prick. But he's right. Unless they start playing Dragon Run again we have no proof" I replied. Abby curiously stood there smirking, her head held high, as if she was in possession of such an exquisite solution that the mere thought of it was enough to render Kai's hurtful words moot. Heidi turned to her.


"What's up? What's so funny?" she enquired. Abby started giggling.


"Kai's not as smart as he thinks he is. Are you guys free on Saturday?" she playfully asked. We both nodded.


"Come over in the morning. I've got a plan" she teased, with an overtly smug sense of self-satisfaction.


At the time I can remember racking my brain to figure out what she could have planned. I knew she was from a rich family - could she convince a television station to play the show? No, I remember thinking - don't be silly. Could she track down some of the other kids from our old school? Possibly, but it'd still be their word against Kai's. Was there a way she could get hold of the screenplay, or script, to prove there was a nude scene? Maybe, but what kind of kid would take this as proof, let alone an entire school? I pondered and pondered for the rest of the day until, on the bus ride home, it struck me.

NOTE: This is an alternative timeline follow-up to Kai's humiliation in Year 6, and his subsequent relationship with Abby at their new school. Some of it will be repeated, but it will take a significant turn  

After the events of the most humiliating day of Kai's life and subsequent week of utter embarrassment, the school term finally ended. The last week had been hell on Earth for Kai - as expected, word quickly spread around school as soon as the girls left the classroom, and that night all the students sat glued to their TVs at home for a glimpse at Kai's terrible shame. Throughout the taunts, the constant chants of "babydick" and endless mockery and giggling, Abby transformed herself into Kai's biggest defender. Chaperoning him through the playground every recess and lunch she eagerly became Kai's strongest pillar of support. Whenever she spotted a group of girls ready to hurl invective at the poor boy she distracted him. Whenever one of the boys yelled "babydick" across the yard she scowled back at them. Whenever she spotted a crude drawing of an extremely under-endowed Kai on his desk or sticky-taped to his locker she crumpled it up before he noticed.  It's safe to say that if it wasn't for her unwavering willingness to show him that, at the very least, someone cared about his plight, I doubt Kai would have dared venture back to school for the remainder of the week. We also found out that both myself and Abby would be joining Kai next year at his new school and that, luckily, no other students from our school would be attending. 

As the bell rang on the final day before finishing up Abby, Kai and myself left class and started walking across the playground to our waiting parents.

"It's so cool we'll be together next year, Kai!" Abby cheerfully declared. "I know this week's been crap, but you're awesome! And next year you won't have to worry about this ever again." 

Kai looked at her in gratitude as he earnestly responded;

"Thanks, dude. You've been sooooo cool and...like...I just want to say thanks"

Kai unexpectedly stopped walking and faced Abby, before enveloping her in a bear hug. Abby flushed red as he let go and stepped back:

"S...ss...sorry. I just...yeah. Thanks...I didn't know how else to show it" Kai stammered out, slightly embarrassed. 

"Dude, it's cool. I don't know how to say it...but...you're like my best friend. Kinda my only friend..." Abby responded quietly. Kai just smiled back at her and nodded, as if to indicate the feeling was definitely mutual. Abby's eyes curiously dropped to Kai's crotch momentarily before looking back up at him:

"And don't worry, dude. I won't tell anyone about you-know-what" she whispered barely audibly, innocently dropping her eyes back down below his belt-line. Kai blushed profusely, and nodded robotically, as if the mere mention of his condition sucked all the life out of him. Abby backtracked once she realised what she'd said:

"Shit, sorry! I didn't mean to bring it up...I just want you to know that I'll never, ever tell anyone, ok?!" she stammered, meaning well but still not fully realising that focusing on it for even a moment was enough to bring the poor boy to tears. Kai's expression softened, as if he was starting to understand that Abby wasn't mentioning it out of spite or meanness, but that she just couldn't quite fully grasp why it was such an unbelievably sensitive issue for a young boy. 

"It's...it's ok. I just...like...if anyone finds out again..." Kai jarringly tried to respond. "Like, I'll never live it down, I'll probably have to change schools...". Abby nodded understandingly.

"Don't worry, I cross my heart and hope to die. I won't tell anyone. Ever. And anyway, it won't last forever! You'll get a growth spurt soon like everyone else and then you'll be normal" she beamed, completely failing to understand that this condition was, for all intents and purposes, permanent. Kai looked down at the ground briefly, before looking back up and straight into her eyes.

"Listen, Abby. Um...like...I read about what this is. It's...like. It's permanent..." he managed to sputter, frustrated and despondent. Abby stared back, mouth slightly agape.

"Are...are you serious? Like, it'll always be tiny?" she flatly queried, before realising her innocent error again.

"Sorry! I didn't mean tiny. I mean, like...will it ever...is that all...oh, God. I don't know how to ask. It won't grow any more?" she compassionately asked. Kai just shook his head slowly. 

"Um...well. Dude, don't worry about it. I'll never, ever tell anyone. I swear on my Mum's life, ok?!" she bargained, not quite sure what to say. Kai nodded gently, a soft smile forming on his lips. He knew he could trust her. 

"Come on, let's go. Only six more weeks and then we'll be half-way across the state and we won't have to talk about this ever again!" she energetically said, as we all started walking over to our parents. Unexpectedly, just as Kai was about to hop into his car Abby ran over to him and, without saying a word, enveloped him in a long embrace. Her back was turned to me but I saw Kai break into a sheepish smile, as if he was really warming to Abby's constant affection and loyalty. They released each other, Abby walking back to her car glancing multiple times over her shoulder at Kai as he got into the backseat and closed the door. 

Six weeks later the first day of the term arrived and we all met up outside the main gates of our new school - Bellgrove High School. Kai and Abby immediately hugged each other warmly, and I soon found out that they'd both actually been hanging out with each other throughout the holidays. I got the distinct feeling that they were both developing crushes on each other, but still lacked the mutual courage to act on it. Abby seemed more obviously smitten with Kai, a curious development seeing as she was acutely aware of his embarrassing condition. 

"I'm soooo glad we're all here together. I'd be so nervous without you guys!" Abby beamed as she let go of Kai, looking deeply into his eyes.

"Oh, my God. Tell me about it. I'm just happy I got to leave that stupid school" Kai responded, not bothering to mention the obvious reason why.

"We can start fresh now, dude. It's like it never happened, ok?" Abby warmly replied as she affectionately rubbed his shoulder. Kai nodded in appreciation, a slightly-embarrassed smile forming on his lips.

"Come on, let's go to orientation. It's in the main hall for Year 7s" I stated, eager to get going and see what kind of other kids we'd be spending our high-schooling with. 

We all walked off to the main hall and walked in, the majority of the Year 7 students seated already. I guessed that there were probably around 60 students all up, a pretty small number for an entire year but then again it was a fairly small high school. Kai, Abby and myself took our seats at the back as our Head of Year, Mrs Spence, entered. She walked up to the lectern at the front and began the orientation, welcoming us to the new school and introducing our new teachers. She began to show overhead slides of the layout of the school with instructions on where our classes would be held, where the toilets are located, where the sick bay was and her expectations of how we should conduct ourselves. Mrs Spence seemed friendly and kind, however, she definitely had a strict demeanour when it came to behavioural expectations and showing respect. Half way through her presentation she looked up from the overhead projector at the door we all entered from, which was behind the three of us, and spoke:

"Come in, young lady. Take a seat at the back, you're already 10 minutes late" she brusquely said. All three of us turned around to see who was standing in the doorway.

It was little Brianna. She stood in the doorway nervously fidgeting with her dress, and then quickly snapping into action in response to Mrs Spence's terse instructions. She started to make her way over to us from across the entrance to the hall. 

The look of fear that flashed across Kai's face last year when he realised the entire class was watching Dragon Run re-appeared, as he looked in panic at the young girl making her way over to us. It wasn't until she was about 3 meters away from us that she recognised us - her eyes widened and a grateful smile spread across her lips as she realised she wouldn't have to confront her first day at a new school alone with kids she didn't know. She sat down next to me.

"Hi guys! I didn't know you'd all be coming here!" she whispered excitedly.

"Hey Brianna, when did you move here?" I asked back quietly.

"About 2 weeks ago. I couldn't get into the local high school because they said I was too young for Year 7, but Bellgrove let me in" she responded in hushed tones, before looking past me at Kai and Abby. 

"Hi Abby! Oh, and hi, Kai...how are you guys?" she softly asked, her smile disappearing as she seemed to realise that they probably weren't too happy to see one of the girls who had played a pretty pivotal role in spreading the news about Kai's micropenis across the entirety of our old school.

"Hi. I'm good" Abby flatly responded, hardly making eye contact.

"Hey" Kai replied monotonously, making a concerted effort to blank her as best he could. 

Brianna just sat back in silence as we all stared at the front, hardly paying attention to Mrs Spence as the awkwardness of the situation permeated the atmosphere. I didn't need to ask Kai how he was feeling - it was abundantly clear. I glanced over at him and could already see his lips pursed in fear and anger, his leg nervously bouncing up and down in anxiety. I saw Abby look at him compassionately as she reached over and put her hand on his shaking leg, as if to silently reassure him that she was there for him. It didn't help as Kai simply kept bouncing his leg and staring at the front blankly. Mrs Spence finished her introduction and invited us all outside to talk a walking tour of the school. We all got up and walked outside, the large group naturally forming into small clusters of students who already knew each other from their previous schools. Brianna, Abby, Kai and myself stayed at the rear of the rest of the kids as we started our walking tour. Brianna spoke up:

"Thanks for letting me hang with you guys..." she quietly, almost apologetically stated.

"Listen, you can hang out with us. But there's a couple of conditions" Abby sternly responded as she glared intensely at Brianna. Kai was already staring at the floor, completely aghast that he had to ensure this humiliation on his very first day at his new school! 

"First, apologise to Kai. Now" she demanded. Brianna, surprisingly, looked a bit taken aback.

"Um, why? It wasn't just me doing it..." she managed to stutter, as if to justify her meanness last year.

"Say it! You knew what you were doing was wrong. Apologise, or you're on your own!" Abby hissed back, reverting into defence mode to protect her friend

Brianna stopped walking and looked at Kai, who lifted his head slightly in anticipation.

"Um...Kai? I'm really sorry for...well...for teasing you....and calling you babydick" she managed to stutter. As soon as that phrase left her mouth Kai's eyes widened and darted around in desperation, making sure nobody heard the term he was convinced he'd never have to endure again.

"Ok, ok! Keep your voice down! It's cool, just never say that again!" Kai desperately pleaded, as Brianna just nodded rapidly in affirmation.

"Ok, I promise. I swear! But don't worry, it won't last forever. Remember in health last year, they said everyone has a growth spurt in Year 9, so you only have to wait till then. Then it'll be regular size" she innocently responded, trying her best to smooth things over with the boy but inadvertently opening a can of worms. Before Kai could say anything Abby jumped in.

"Brianna, it's like that forever, ok? It's stopped growing, so that's why you can't tell anyone. Ever! You have to promise not to tell anyone now, or in Year 9, or in Year 12, or ever!" Abby breathlessly explained, unaware of the utter humiliation she still caused Kai whenever she went into detail about the specifics of his unfortunate condition. 

Brianna's eyes widened once again as her mouth hung slightly agape, her gaze lowering to Kai's crotch, as if she couldn't believe that his 1cm penis was now a permanent fixture of his anatomy. She nodded in silence as redness flushed over Kai's face.

"Say it. Promise" Abby demanded.

"Ok, ok. I promise I'll never tell anyone. I swear on everything" Brianna robotically stated, her eyes not wavering from Kai's crotch.

"And stop staring at it! If people see they'll ask why!" Kai pleaded in desperation. Brianna snapped her eyes up to meet his.

"Ok, sorry. It just...like...well...oh, never mind. I won't look" she stammered, still processing the fact that, for her own social benefit, she'd have to keep this a secret for her entire school life. 

And with that we all started walking behind the group again in silence, listening to Mrs Spence's tour and familiarising ourselves with our new surroundings. Over the course of the first day the ice began to thaw between Kai, Abby and Brianna as they started talking about normal childhood things and introducing themselves to their new classmates. I saw Kai start to relax over the course of the day, he old confidence seeming to return as he started rediscovering his sociability and the kind of effortless coolness which was a foundation of his popularity at our old school. The rest of the grade seemed to be cut from better quality cloth than the kids at our old school, and I got the distinct impression that a lot of these kids were high-achievers from respectable families - the uniforms we all had to wear were crisp and professional, with below knee-length skirts for the girls and a combination of blazers and grey slacks for the boys. Although this wasn't a private school it definitely seemed to attract a higher class of student than our old one. 

Over the course of the next few weeks we all started settling into our new groups. The budding romance between Kai and Abby seemed to be burning slowly - they weren't yet an 'official' couple but you could definitely tell there was a strong mutual attraction and affection between them. Brianna had behaved admirably in terms of keeping Kai's secret, and hadn't once overtly broached the subject or, seemingly, been tempted to tell anyone else about it. The only close call we had was when Kai was playfully teasing her about being the youngest, and shortest, of us in the new group and she came perilously close to calling him 'babydick', stopping herself before the 'd' and and brushing it off as simply 'baby'. Kai had shot her a look that could burn through lead, but afterwards she'd explained it was an innocent mistake and that she was profusely sorry. Truth be told, Kai had nothing to do but to accept the girl's apology, realising that he had absolutely no leverage if she suddenly decided to divulge his secret - our little group of four had blossomed to six with two girls making close friendships with Abby and Brianna, so the threat of excommunication was now fairly redundant to Brianna. Those girls, Laura and Kimberley had both come from a very upper-class primary school from another area of the state.

Laura was around the same height as Kai, and stunning. A tall brunette with smooth, milky white skin she was always presented extremely well. Her uniform was always spotless, an elegant pink bow perched atop her immaculate hair. I got the distinct impression she was from a very wealthy family, but she also came across as quite naïve and innocent. I could tell as the weeks passed that she was developing a strong crush on Kai, and started to exhibit subtle signs of jealousy towards Abby. 

Kimberley was similar to Abby - short, quite nerdy and fairly shy, however she had a sarcastic and acerbic sense of humour. She'd taken on the role of group clown pretty effortlessly, and had us in stitches most of the time. She came across as a bit more worldly than Laura, and seemed to find the naughtier side of humour very appealing. She was constantly telling dirty jokes and demonstrating her knowledge of things children shouldn't really know at that age. One particularly awkward moment came when we were watching the movie Pollyanna in class one afternoon during bad weather.

Our teacher had realised we couldn't leave for lunch due to the rain so had decided to wheel the huge television and VHS player out to keep us entertained for the afternoon - as soon as he wheeled it out I looked at Kai, who must have been having flashbacks to last year. He instinctively started bouncing his leg up and down and tightening his lips, praying to whatever God he believed in that it wasn't going to be a repeat of last year. His relief was palpable when the teacher put Pollyanna on and started to settle down, however, the very first scene of this film shows a young 12-year old boy skinny dipping in a river with a group of his friends. Being the very late 70s they hadn't edited out any shots of the young boy's penis, which was a completely normal size of around 8cm long. The class giggled and then quickly moved on, seemingly uninterested in the brief nudity. However, Kimberley started excitedly giggling about the unexpected scene:

"Oh, my God. Did you guys see his wiener? It was tiny!" she giddily whispered to us all.

I saw Kai look at the floor, blushing already at the realisation that what Kimberley considered tiny was actually gargantuan compared to his puny boyhood. Abby sensed this:

"Kim, no it wasn't. Don't be so gross!" she whispered back, as if to try and shame the young girl into silence.

"What are you talking about?! Didn't you see it, it was like this big?" Kimberley replied, indicating the size with her thumb and index finger to about 8cm long.

"Yeah, so? That's normal, Kim!" Abby shot back, unaware that by describing it as 'normal' she was affirming just how abnormally small Kai's penis actually was.

"As if! It looked like a baby carrot. That's not normal, Abby. It's puny" Kim spitefully responded, seemingly eager to demonstrate to the rest of us that she was completely across what should and shouldn't constitute the average size of a preteen penis. 

"It did look pretty small, Abby. Like, I'd never go out with a boy like that" Laura contributed rather haughtily, as if dating a boy with a small penis was such a social poison that she wouldn't be caught dead in such a scenario. Brianna, sitting there up until this point with a huge, cheesy grin on her face, decided to join in.

"Yeah, I reckon it was tiny, too. I've actually seen one smaller than that..." she coyly added, trying to one-up her new friend. Laura and Kimberley looked at Brianna, taken aback by this admission.

"Oh, my God! Who was it? How old was he?" Kimberley breathlessly enquired.

"Yeah, tell us! Tell! How big was it?" Laura added, her usually aloof demeanour receding as her curiosity got the better of her. 

By this point Kai and Abby were both staring holes into Brianna. Abby was scowling like I'd never seen before, ready to pounce on her with a vengeance if she revealed Kai's secret. Kai sat there trembling, nervously flicking his fingers back and forth as his quivering leg jolted up and down uncontrollably. Brianna looked straight at Kai with a mischievous pout, scrunching her nose up as if to indicate she was about to let the secret out. Then, she turned to Kimberley and Laura. 

"Oh, nobody you guys know. I was at the pool last year and I had to go into the boys changing room with my Dad. There was a kid getting changed next to me, he was 10...and it was super small" Brianna calmly outlined, as if it was no big deal.

"How big was it?!" Kimberley whispered in unabashed curiosity.

"Oh, like 2cm. You could hardly see it, it was sooooo puny" Brianna giggled.

"Oh, my God. That's crazy! I didn't know they could get that small..." Laura replied, with a tinge of sympathy lacing her voice. 

"Yeah, it was baby-sized" Brianna coldly added, immediately turning to look at Kai and, once again, scrunching her nose up into a cheeky pout. Kai glared back at her, not daring to challenge or upset her in case she let slip his secret. 

"A baby dick!" Kimberley suddenly added, to stifled giggles from Laura and Brianna. Kai visibly flinched at this term, as if all the memories of last year had come flooding back instantaneously. Abby looked like she was going to explode. 

"Yeah, a baby dick! It's a good thing you guys don't have one, right?!" Brianna chortled, turning to face both Kai and myself. We both quickly shook our heads, eager to show the girls that we were more than adequate down below. Kai protested stronger than me. 

"No way, what kind of loser would be that tiny?!" he forcefully questioned, still blushing but with enough bluster that it came across quite confidently. Abby knew she had to intervene in case it got out of control. 

"Whatever, let's drop it. We're missing the movie" Abby impatiently spat back at the other girls, eager to put the subject to bed for poor Kai's sake. Laura and Kimberley just rolled their eyes and turned back around to face the TV, whereas Brianna looked at both Abby and Kai and, with a cheeky smirk, stuck her tongue out at Kai before turning around to watch the movie.

After the movie ended and we were all allowed to leave for the day we started walking back to the bus stop together. Laura and Kimberley said their goodbyes and started walking over to the car park, their parents choosing to pick them up from school rather than bussing it. This gave Abby a chance to have a little chat with Brianna.

"What the hell was that for?!" she hissed at Brianna, about to let all her rage out at having to defend her crush once again.

"Chill out, I didn't say anything! They don't know, and they won't find out!" she sputtered back awkwardly, knowing deep-down that she was playing with fire.

"They might, though! And you made it sound like it was...like...a disability or something. You made it sound like he has something wrong with him!" Abby countered, eager to make sure Kai felt supported. Kai just stood there in silence, realising there was nothing he could do or say to make the situation any less embarrassing.

"Well...I mean..." Brianna hesitatingly started to respond.

"Well, what?! Go on, say it!" Abby challenged.

"Well...it is tiny! It's more than tiny! You can't just pretend that it isn't, it's even got a name! M.I.C.R.O.P.E.N.I.S!" Brianna replied in frustration as she pointed towards Kai's crotch, spelling out the name of his condition as if that justified her stance. Kai looked straight down at the floor, flushing red once again. Abby reached out and pushed her hand down.

"Keep your voice down, people might hear! And so what?! So what if it has a name? I think it's cute...I...I like it!" Abby passionately replied, before flushing red herself at her unexpected admission. Kai looked up and turned to face her.

"You...you like it?" he quietly asked, shock etched across his face at the possibility that someone may not actually be completely uninterested in his puny boyhood. Abby slowly made eye contact with the boy and, almost imperceptibly, nodded. The look in Kai's eyes was moving, it was as if Abby had said the one thing to him that he'd been needing to hear for the past few months. He was desirable. Before Abby could say anything else we all realised that the buses we were waiting for had arrived and so, without saying another word, we all waved goodbye to each other and went to board. As I got on the bus I noticed that Kai and Abby kept looking over at each other, as Brianna watched them from across the playground, rolling her eyes. 

Over the next few weeks things settled down a bit - Abby and Kai still weren't an official couple, but their mutual affection for one another still seemed to keep growing. Brianna didn't make any more mentions of Kai's secret, nor did she try to imply anything more about Kai's size to Kimberley and Laura. With about a week to go until the end of term we all received notice that the mobile dentist service would be visiting the school and the Year 7 kids would be required to have a general check-up. This was quite a common occurrence in the 70s so nobody thought anything else of it, except for Abby who divulged to us that she was terribly afraid of having any dental work done. Apparently, she'd had a bad experience when she was younger and now had a fear of dentists. Anyway, the day rolled round and we all walked over to the school nurse's office for our check-ups  Kimberly, Laura and Brianna all went first, being seen by the two dentists who had come and completed their check-ups without issues. The three girls sat in reception with Abby, Kai and myself as the dentists prepared for their next patient. Abby started panicking.

"Guys...I...I don't think I can do this. I can't! I have to leave!" she started stuttering, one of the dentists overhearing her. She walked over.

"Now, now. Let's not work ourselves into a lather! Dr Harper, can you please take Abby into your office and sedate her?" the dentists calmly instructed.

"Wha...what! I don't want any needles, please!" Abby begged.

"Don't worry, dear. It's just some laughing gas. No needles. You won't feel a thing" the dentist responded as she led Abby into Dr Harper's room.

Abby got up, shivering, as she was led into the office. Kai and myself would have to wait until Abby was done as she required the attention of both of the dentists - one to administer the gas and one to do the procedure. They sat Abby down in the chair and immediately strapped the mask on to her to deliver the gas prior to the procedure, and within a minute we could see that it had done the trick. Abby lay there, softly chuckling, as Dr Harper conducted his check up. After about 10 minutes, and copious amounts of nitrous oxide, Dr Harper led her out into the waiting room with the rest of us. She was quite wobbly on her feet and was flushing red, giggling like a toddler and fiddling with her fingers. 

"Kai, Blake, we're ready to see you now. You three girls take Abby next door - Abby, I want you to lie down on the couch we have in there and relax for 10 minutes, ok?"

"Ooookey-dokey, Doc! Let's gooooo" Abby snickered, sounding more like a drunk than a dental patient. The other three girls giggled as they got up to chaperone her into the room. As Abby passed Kai she grabbed him in an unexpected bear hug. 

"Kaiiiii, you're sooo tall. You're my best, big, bestest buddy" she giggled excitedly as Kai sheepishly hugged her back. 

"Ok, kids. Let's go. Kai, into my office, please" Dr Harper demanded, as Laura, Kimberley and Brianna led their giddy friend into the next room. I took my seat in the dental chair and, from my vantage point, could see through a slightly open door into the room where the three girls had laid Abby down on the couch to wait for the effects of the gas to wear off. I listened in on them all as the dentists started her checks.

"Ohhhhh, my God. Kai is soooo cool, do...do you guys think he's cute?!" Abby cackled on the couch as the other girls knelt down beside her, trying to calm her down to get her to relax. Laura and Kimberley giggled, while Brianna started assessing the situation.

"Abby, it's hardly a secret anymore that you have a crush on him. And anyway, we're all friends here. We tell each other our secrets, don't we?" she cunningly asked in hushed tones.

"Yuuuuup. I like him, yuuuuup" Abby drawled. The other girls chuckled.

"See? You can tell us anything, Abby" Brianna replied.


"Nooooo, we can't tell the big secret!" Abby slurred back, almost drifting in and out of consciousness, her eyes semi-closed. Brianna looked surprised - she must have thought that it'd take much more coaxing and manipulation before Abby would volunteer any sensitive information about Kai. Instead, Abby had just provided Brianna with the perfect opening to start teasing the secret out of her. 

"What, what big secret?!" Kimberley excitedly asked.

"Yeah, come on, Abby. You can tell us. We're all friends here" Brianna softly encouraged, leaping on the chance to start shepherding the delirious girl towards the truth. 

"Nooooo, it's sooo big. Well...the secret's big...but it's about the teeniest, tiniest, itsy-bitsy thing. Kai made me swear not to tell anyone about it!" Abby replied, cackling uncontrollably as she cryptically described the size of Kai's micropenis. The laughing gas must have been potent, because Abby was indescribably animated. 

"Oh, my God! It's about Kai! Tell, tell! Please, we swear we won't say anything" Kimberley desperately demanded. 

"Come on, Abby. Tell! We won't tell anyone. We promise, don't we guys?" Laura added, as Kimberley and Brianna nodded strongly in agreement. 

"Yeah, come on, Abby. Don't be a baby" Brianna goaded, knowing that the mere mention of the word 'baby' would probably coax Abby into revealing something she really didn't want to. It worked.

"Oh! That's part of it! You just...you can't...like you can't say the second bit!" Abby slurred, clasping her eyes shut tight as if to pretend she wasn't there.

"Ok, well just say the second bit without saying the first bit,  Abby" Brianna gently encouraged.

"Pffffft. Dick!" Abby responded, as she erupted into a laughing fit.

"Wait...you mean, you're not allowed to say 'babydick'? What...why?! I said that a few weeks ago when we were watching Pollyanna and you didn't say anything!" Kimberley hurriedly asked, her eyes wide with expectation.

"Come on, Abby. You need to explain it to us now. We're all confused, and you don't want your friends to be confused, do you?" Brianna coaxed, as Abby, seemingly in agreement, shook her head loosely from side-to-side.

"Welllllll, last year we all found out...coz of the show...that Kai is teeny-tiny, itsy-bitsy, teensy-weensy...and all the girls teased him...and now we can't say it anymore!" Abby giggled with her eyes firmly shut, face flushing red and a huge, delirious grin on her face. Brianna sat back with a self-satisfied grin - she'd taken the opportunity to spill Kai's terrible secret without uttering so much as a single incriminating word. Laura and Kimberely gasped.

"Abby, wait...what are you saying?! Are you saying that Kai has...like...he has a small...you know...thingy?" Laura asked barely audibly, leaning into Abby to almost whisper the question. Abby sat up, still extremely unsteady, and looked directly at Kimberley and Laura.

"Guyssssss, don't be meannnn. It's a condition, it's called a micropenis. But shhhhhhhh, you can't tell anyoneeeee" she said slowly yet forcefully, with all the sincerity of a drunk pouring his heart out to a stranger at a bar. As soon as she'd finished she flopped back down onto the couch and started gently giggling again. Kimberley and Laura looked at each other in shock, before erupting into embarrassed snickering. Brianna joined in.

"Now, guys. You can't tell anyone, ok? Abby's been a really good friend letting you know, but this stays between all of us. Deal?" she asked with an air of authority. Both girls just nodded rapidly, hardly even stopping to suppress their giggles. Abby spoke up again.

"It's sooooooo cute, I love it sooooo much. It's like a teeeeeensy button" she purred, pouting in the same way you would when playing with an adorable puppy. Kimberley and Laura fixed their gaze back on Abby.

"Abby...how big was it?" Kimberley earnestly asked as Laura broke into a huge grin. 

"Like thissssss, it's soooo itty-bitty-witty-pitty-ditty. A puny doodle-woodle-foodle-goodle-boo!" Abby sleepily replied in baby-like gibberish, scrunching her nose up with her eyes firmly shut and holding her arm straight up, demonstrating the real size of Kai's boyhood with her thumb and index finger to a length of little more than 1cm. Kimberley and Laura clasped their hands to their mouths and gasped, looking straight at Brianna as if to query whether or not this was true. 

"Oh, my God. No way! That's made up, how can it be that small?" Kimberley giddly asked, looking directly at Brianna. Brianna just stared back, her eyes wide with excitement, biting her bottom lip.

"Is...is that true? Seriously?" Laura asked flatly, her eyes bugging, looking at Brianna. 

Brianna took a while to process the mental calculations. So far, she hadn't incriminated herself at all, skilfully manipulating the delirious Abby into revealing almost everything she'd been aching to tell her new friends for weeks. She must have figured that simply affirming the accuracy of Abby's revelations non-verbally wouldn't be enough to count as breaking a promise. After a few tense seconds Brianna looked at both Kimberley and Laura and, with barely concealed joy, nodded her head up and down rapidly. The two girls erupted into fits of giggles, once again clasping their hands over their mouths and staring at each other in absolute disbelief. Abby, meanwhile, looked like she'd fallen asleep. 

"Abby? Abby! Tell us how you found out! Like...how did you see it?!" Kimberley desperately begged, eager for every last detail of the incredible revelation. Abby merely groaned, dead to the world, the effects of the gas and her initial fear and nervousness causing her to drift into a deep sleep. I could see Brianna furrowing her brow, internally debating whether or not to give the girls a full run-down. After all, the secret was out now - technically, she wasn't responsible for letting it slip, so she must have figured that there was no harm in telling Kimberley and Laura exactly how they had come into possession of such humiliating knowledge. 

"Guys, she's asleep. I'll tell you how we found out" Brianna quietly stated, as Kimberley and Laura leaned in closer. For the next couple of minutes Brianna went into every excruciating detail of the event, relishing the chance to finally let a new group of girls know all about Kai's shameful secret. She covered the entirety of the Dragon Run series and how they ended up watching the final episode in class. She spent at least a minute describing every inch of Kai's exposed body, focusing cruelly on outlining just how small his penis actually was. Throughout the whole thing Abby lay there, deeply sleeping, until just as Brianna finished describing Kai's micropenis she started to rouse from her slumber. Before she could fully awaken Brianna, noticing that the situation had the potential now to completely spin out of control, looked intensely at Kimberley and Laura.

"Don't. Say. A. Word. Of. This. To. Anyone. Understand?" Brianna sternly demanded. Still reeling from the incredible gossip both girls nodded rapidly in agreement, their eyes still wide with excitement, their grins showing no sign of leaving their flushing faces.

"I'm serious. You have to promise, ok?!" Brianna followed up.

"Ok, ok. We promise. We cross our hearts and hope to die!" Kimberley tittered, as she looked down at the now-writhing Abby. She woke up. 

"Wha...where am I? Abby softly asked in confusion.

"Don't worry, Abby. You just had a little too much gas. Are you ok?" Laura compassionately asked with her hand on Abby's shoulder.

"Um...yeah. I'm really lightheaded, though. How long was I out?" Abby asked.

"Oh...not too long. About five minutes...what was the last thing you remember?" Brianna asked, a slightly concerned tone entering her voice.

"Ummmm. Not much, really. I remember sitting in the chair, then the dentist put the mask on me. Then I woke up" she responded. Brianna's expression softened, heartened by the knowledge that Abby seemingly had no idea what she'd just divulged.

"I can remember hearing you guys laughing, though. What were you talking about?" Abby pondered, sitting up and grabbing onto the arm of the couch, steadying herself and regaining her composure. 

"Oh, we were...um....like, we were talking about...like..." Laura started to answer, stuttering through the sentence in trepidation. Abby just looked at her, confused.

"We were saying how funny it would be if we poured cold water on you!" Kimberley jumped in, saving Laura from wriggling through an obvious lie. 

"Wow, thanks, you guys" Abby responded, rolling her eyes. All the girls giggled. 

"Don't worry, Abby. We were only having a little joke" Laura replied, slightly emphasising the word 'little'.

"Yeah, we weren't really gonna do it. We're not dicks!" Kimberley added, as Laura and Brianna sneakily tried to mask their grins.

"Even if we did, we'd only use a small glass of water, Abby. We know how much you love cute things" Brianna chuckled, as Kimberley and Laura both widened their eyes slightly and stifled their giggles. 

Abby looked at the three girls suspiciously, not quite sure what to make of the remarks but also still battling the fogginess caused by the laughing gas. The girls sat there for a few seconds, until Dr Harper walked in with Kai.

"Ok, girls. You're all good to go. Abby, are you alright to walk?" Dr Harper asked. Abby just nodded as she stood up, still slightly wobbly but otherwise fine.

"And well done, Kai. You didn't make a sound. I knew you weren't a baby!" Dr Harper added, as he slapped Kai firmly on the back. Kai just nodded, smiling politely, as Kimberley, Laura and Brianna silently smirked. Kimberley and Laura's gazes dropped noticeably downwards, focusing on Kai's crotch, as if they were straining to see any outline of his micropenis. 

"That's not what I heard" Kimberley softly added, momentarily looking up, her grin widening as Laura and Brianna both looked down at the floor in embarrassed excitement. Kai cocked his eyebrow at her, confused as to what she was implying.

"Nonsense! Kai was a model of manners and behaviour. Well done, son" Dr Harper responded as he turned around and left the room.

By this point my check-up was complete, and I left the room to join Kai and the four girls next door. I felt the need to move the situation on before it devolved into something sinister.

"Hey, dude. How was your check-up?" I asked Kai.

"Good, man. All normal. Except I have a tiny crack on one of my molars, I'll probably need a filling next year" he shrugged, not at all concerned about his dental hygiene. As soon as the word 'tiny' escaped his lips I noticed Kimberley and Laura turn to each other and start sniggering, Brianna stood next to them with her arms folded as a supercilious smirk crept onto her lips. Kai looked at them quizzically.

"Um, what's so funny? It's just a crack, it's not like I have to have my tooth pulled" he asked in mild annoyance.

"Oh! I thought you'd have to have it pulled out. But, like you said. It's only super tiny..." Kimberley mockingly replied, pushing the envelope. Laura stood there desperately trying to stifle a guffaw. 

"Is it really that tiny, Kai?" Brianna slyly added. Kai still hadn't caught on. 

"Um, yeah...I probably cracked it on a nut or something. No big deal" He calmly replied.

"Oh, it's definitely not big" Kimberley chimed in, causing Laura once again to clasp her hands to her mouth to mask her tittering. Abby scratched her head in confusion, still slightly reeling from the effects of the gas, before looking over at Brianna curiously. Brianna immediately realised that this was going too far and started making a beeline for the door.

"Come on, guys. Let's get out of here. We've got some free time before the buses come.

And so all six of us walked out to the playground, Kai gently taking Abby by the arm as she was still a bit wobbly on her feet. I wasn't sure if that would be the end of the issue, and if Kimberley and Laura would keep their promises and never mention what Abby had unknowingly divulged to them. Brianna, on the other hand, had confirmed what I'd suspected all along - she'd take any opportunity she could to ensure as many girls knew about Kai's secret shame as possible.

NOTE: This is still following the alternative timeline to Kai's humiliation in Year 6, and his subsequent relationship with Abby at their new school.

After the events at the dental check-up things went back to normal for a period. Surprisingly, Brianna had been able to persuade Kimberley and Laura to keep Kai's situation secret and Abby had no suspicions that she'd inadvertently let slip the entire thing to two new girls. Aside from the occasional insinuation that they knew something about Kai's micropenis there were really no major slip-ups that Kimberley, Laura or Brianna had made - of course, everytime anyone in the group mentioned something 'small', 'tiny', 'puny' or 'little' the three girls would bashfully smirk and exchange fleeting glances with each other, but I got the distinct impression that all three girls had had time to reflect on the impacts it would have on Kai's reputation and psyche if anyone else in the school knew about it. It seemed that the last thing they'd want to do would be to hurt Kai or cause him to leave the group. After all, all six of us were now close friends and as time went on it became clearer that they all really valued Kai's friendship. It was around 3 weeks after the dental check up that we'd also welcomed two new kids into our group: Jason and Skye. 

Both Jason and Skye had been transferred from another school in around Week 4 of term and, until now, hadn't been able to settle into any other group so we happily welcomed them into ours. Jason was very similar to Kai and myself. Sporty, good-natured, and into the same sorts of things that we were. Skye was a bundle of energy - short, athletic, with striking honey-blonde hair and pale green eyes. At first glance you'd think she would have fit better into the preppy group, but she had a bizarre and surreal sense of humour and was just fun to be around. She didn't take herself too seriously and got along with everyone, especially Kai. It turned out that, when they were about five, they'd both been part of the same athletics club for a short while and this led to them bonding quite quickly. Although Kai and Abby were still being extremely affectionate and flirtatious with each other it became clear that Skye was potentially a threat to Abby's crush, and I started to get the distinct feeling that Skye had begun to develop a small crush on the boy. Brianna, now secure in the knowledge that she had quite a bit of leverage over Abby in the sense that, technically, Abby was the one who revealed the secret of Kai's micropenis to both Kimberley and Laura, started to feel left out. Skye immediately hit it off with Kimberley and Laura and, with Jason showing no obvious signs of affection towards Brianna, must have felt a bit vulnerable as to her position in the group being under threat. I could still tell that Brianna found it absolutely confounding that Abby could still be attracted to Kai given his severely underdeveloped boyhood, and now the new girl was even showing the early stages of a crush, too! I got the sense that Brianna felt the need to re-assert her dominance and place herself back at the top of the pecking order, at which she'd clearly been after her antics in the dental check-up. 

As Term 1 approached its end we were all notified that, in Week 1 of Term 2 we would all be going on a school camp for five days to a place around 3 hours drive from Bellgrove. We were all looking forward to it and eagerly discussing how fun it was going to be, what we'd be getting up to and what kinds of activities they would be there - it seemed our little group was gelling really well, even if there was a budding underlying tension between Brianna and Skye. It was at this point that I decided to confront Brianna about what how she'd manipulated Abby into divulging Kai's secret, not to threaten her or make her uncomfortable (in fact, I thought it was quite clever how she's accomplished it so seamlessly), but just to let her know that I'd heard the entire thing from the room next door. During a study period one day, when I knew she'd be by herself in the library, I decided to talk to her about it. I approach her sitting quietly at a desk in the corner, her brow furrowed and eyes squinting as she analysed a particularly troublesome maths equation:

"Hi, Brianna. How's things?" I innocently opened.

"Meh. Maths sucks. I hate it. I just don't get it. How're you going?" she tersely responded, slamming her pencil down on the table as she looked up at me. I dragged a seat over from the adjacent table and sat down.

"Brianna...um...there's something I need to tell you. I'll just tell you straight out. You know...at the dental check-up?" I softly responded. As soon as the words 'dental check-up' left my lips she widened her eyes in worry. 


"Um...yeah? Wha...what about it?" she anxiously asked. 

"I heard everything. Like...everything you and Abby said to Kimberley and Laura..." I straightforwardly admitted, not seeing any point in stringing the girl along. She sat there, frozen.

"But don't worry! I won't say anything, I promise. I just wanted to let you know that I know" I gently reassured her. She seemed to relax.

"I...I don't know why I did that. I just...like...Kai was always kind of mean to me and...yeah...it was kind of like revenge" she reasoned, almost shrugging her shoulders.

"It's cool, I get it. But, I really like Abby. You know, as a friend. And I wouldn't want Kimberley and Laura to say anything to her about it. Especially if it hurts her chances with Kai..." I replied. Brianna just nodded, as if she understood completely. 

"I know. I feel really bad about it, to be honest. I reckon we should tell her before camp. Just in-case" she flatly replied, knowing that it would be a supremely awkward conversation, but one that needed to be had nonetheless. 

"Yeah, I reckon. Let's tell her this afternoon before we get on the bus. If she's super angry at least she'll have the term break to calm down" I offered. Brianna nodded with a slight smile, as if she was almost looking forward to lifting the weight of yet another secret off her shoulders.

So, that afternoon after the final bell rang Brianna and I met outside class and hunted Abby down. It didn't take long to find her. 

"Hey Abby. Can we talk to you?" Brianna sheepishly said, wasting no time in starting to rip off the metaphorical bandaid. Abby looked at her, quizzically.

"Um, yeah? What's up? You look like you've seen a ghost" Abby replied. She was right - the colour had almost vanished from Brianna's face. 

"Well...remember at the dental check-up? How you were all...like...messed up from the gas? She started. Abby nodded slowly.

"Well...you said some things about Kai..." Brianna replied in hushed tones. This time, it was Abby's turn for the colour to drain from her face. For the next couple of minutes Brianna gave a detailed run-down of the entire event. To her credit, she made no attempt to downplay her own role in it, even offering a justification in feeling that Kai was cruel to her at their old school. After revealing the truth that Kimberley and Laura were fully aware of Kai's condition Brianna simply stared at the floor, waiting for the expected explosion of fury from a girl who'd been sneakily tricked into revealing one of the most embarrassing things possible about the boy she had an intense infatuation with. Curiously, Abby seemed relaxed.

"Thanks for telling me, Brianna. You're a good friend" Abby finally replied, placing her hand gently on Brianna's shoulder. She looked up from the ground, taken aback at this unexpected understanding.

"So...you're not mad or anything?" Brianna quietly asked.

"No way! Look, I know it's not normal...you know, Kai's thingy. But...I really like it! I don't know why, I just...it's just sooooo cute. But I know the other girls wouldn't like it, so if that puts them off Kai then that's a good thing for me!" Abby responded, the reason for her relaxed reaction now fully understood.

"You won't tell Kai then? You won't tell him I made you tell?" Brianna asked.

"Nope. I won't tell. But does Skye know yet?" Abby pointedly asked.

"No way. I haven't said anything, and I'm really sure Kimberley and Laura haven't told her yet. You know...Skye kinda likes Kai as well" Brianna responded coyly. Abby nodded, her relaxed expression replaced with concern.

"Yeah...I know. And she's so pretty, too" Abby responded dejectedly.

"Well...to make up for what happened before, I could tell her if you want?" Brianna offered, with a kind softness lacing her voice.

"No way! If it gets out that the only reason Kimberley and Laura know is because I told them then Kai will end up hating me!" Abby worriedly countered. She was right - without evidence, this entire thing was predicated on the fact that only Abby and Brianna had actually seen it on Dragon Run and, therefore, were the only girls who could have divulged it. This was far too big a risk for Abby to take. 

"Well...we have camp coming up? Maybe...like, if there's a chance...we could try and spy on Kai and see him nude? That way they'd all get to see it in person and they'd never have to know that you told Kimberley and Laura. Oh, and I could organise the whole thing - I'd finally look cool in front of them all! Ohhhh, and then Skye definitely won't have a crush on Kai anymore and you'll be safe!" Brianna breathlessly outlined, as if the cogs in her head were turning at light speed. Abby was skeptical.

"I don't know, Brianna. I mean, what if we don't have a chance to see him nude?" Abby countered.

"Come on. He has to shower, he'll be nude at some point. We're going away for like five days. Don't worry, I'll organise the whole thing! Blake, you're in on this now. You've gotta convince Kai to shower somewhere we can see!" she responded frantically. 

"Guys, I'll try my best. But Abby, are you sure about this? I mean, I get the whole point of this but are you sure you want another girl finding out?" I asked her sternly. Abby nodded eagerly.

"Look, if it gets out it gets out. Skye's starting to really like Kai and I...I...look at me. I can't compete with her" she replied with a twinge of sadness. In a heart-breaking way she was correct - Kai was tall, handsome, athletic and charismatic whereas Abby was short, bespectacled and nerdy. The only saving grace so far was Abby's keen devotion to her crush and the fact that not only did she not care about Kai's micropenis but, for reasons unbeknownst to us, was actually quite enamoured with it. She'd already done the risk assessment and, in her eyes, the risk of more kids finding out about Kai's micropenis was far less pressing than ensuring that the crush Skye was rapidly developing on the boy was stopped in its tracks. 

"Ok. Deal. I'll try my best" I empathetically responded. 

"Sweet! The buses are here, guys. Let's hang out next week. Oh, and Abby...thanks for being so cool about this" Brianna cooed, ecstatic that she'd get the opportunity to look cool in front of Kimberley, Laura and Skye and also extremely relieved that Abby was so forgiving. Abby and Brianna gave each other a long, sincere hug and then ran off towards their respective buses, no doubt eager to start thinking about how this plan would eventually unfold. And I had some thinking to do as to how to approach the task of making sure Kai was in a position to be seen completely naked by no less than five giggling schoolgirls. 

Over the next couple of weeks I gave considerable thought as to how we'd manage to pull off this plan - I had a look at the camp map the school had given us and, fortunately, the shower blocks for both the girls and boys were both quite isolated. I knew I'd have to scope it out in-person to find a decent area for us to all fit into to sneak a peek at Kai but, if everything went to plan, there should be ample scope for us to pull it off. The school had even given us a timetable of activities and every day at 7.30 a 60 minute block for showering was scheduled. I'd invited Kai around to hang out about a week into the break and, tentatively, broached the subject with him of what he was going to do when all the boys were showering together. Kai revealed that as soon as the school had notified us of the camp his parents had contacted the school to ensure he was provided with privacy and his own block of 15 minutes for showering alone - apparently, they'd spun a bit of a tale and told the school that he had special religious considerations which prevented him from sharing washing space with the other boys, when in reality it turns out that his parent's were now acutely aware of the psychological impact the sneak peek of Dragon Run last year had had on Kai and were extremely keen to avoid him facing the same torment again. Again, this played into our hands as it gave us a definite window of time when we knew Kai would be alone and naked. 

In the second week of break I arranged to meet up with Abby and Brianna to discuss our plans and figure out how Brianna was going to broach the subject with the other girls. She'd already given it a great deal of thought - apparently, she was going to start a rumour within our group that one of the boys in our year had an incredibly large penis and the only way to confirm it would be to spy on them in the showers! This, I thought, was a brilliant plan in that it provided an extremely tempting motivation for Kimberley, Laura and Skye to get on board with the plan while also psychologically priming Skye to secretly hope that it was Kai. Brianna was also going to drop hints that it might be Kai given the boy's otherwise strapping physical prowess and attractiveness. As we were discussing this in more depth Brianna, letting herself get carried away with just how effectively she was orchestrating this entire plan, started to let slip just how vindictive she could be - openly cackling at the thought of how Kimberley, Laura and Skye were going to react to see Kai's incredibly small penis in the flesh and, seemingly, deriving great pleasure from the thought that Skye would be utterly revulsed at just how small it was. The next week passed without event until Monday morning rolled around and my parents drove me to school, bags packed for the first camp of my short life. Dragging my suitcase out of the car I spotted Abby and Kai and, hauling my luggage clumsily over to them, started nattering about how exciting this all was. A few minutes later we were joined by Jason, Kimberley, Laura, Skye and Brianna, all dragging comically-sized suitcases behind them, as if they were moving house rather than spending less than a week at a school camp. 

"Oh, my God. I can't wait, you guys! This is gonna be so fun!" Kimberley beamed giddily.

"I know! I can't wait to go kayaking, I wonder if we'll have to wear life jackets?" Laura added, injecting a preppy level of maturity into the conversation. 

"Pfft, as if we'll need that. We're awesome swimmers, right, Kai?" Jason bragged, grabbing Kai playfully in a headlock. Kai laughed.

"Yeah, don't you girls worry. We're big boys" he added, his confidence brimming. I noticed Brianna slyly turn towards Kimberley and start softly chucking, as she looked over at her while biting her bottom lip. Brianna spoke up. 

"Yeah, I'm sure one of you is big" she cheekily purred, causing Kai to glare at her threateningly.

"What do you mean, Brianna?" Laura asked curiously.

"Oh, I'll tell you guys later. The buses are pulling up, look!" she squealed as we saw a huge double-decker coach pull into the parking lot. For the next 15 minutes we all started eagerly loading our luggage onto the buses and rushing to find the best seats on the bus. As the teachers had made us let the girls load their luggage first they all eagerly ran up the stairs of the waiting bus and plonked themselves on the top floor with the best views. I managed to get a seat next to Kai and for the next few hours spent most of the time gossiping with him about school, girls, TV shows, sports and all the usual things that guys chat about. When we were about 15 minutes away from the camp Kai nervously started glancing around and leant in to whisper something.

"Dude...you know how I get to shower by myself?" he quietly asked. I nodded in the affirmative without saying anything.

"Well...when I go in, can you...like...can you come with me and stand guard outside? Like, make up a story about the shower being cleaned if anyone tries to come in?" he shyly requested.

"Sure thing, dude. No problem. Has it...like...has it gotten any bigger?" I softly asked him, making sure to lace my voice with genuine empathy.

"No, man. It's...it's never...like. Dude, my body keeps growing but it stays the same. Like, I'm a few centimetres taller than I was last year and...you know...in comparison, it looks...like" he stammered, obviously embarrassed at trying to reveal that not only hadn't his micropenis changed at all, but as the rest of his body had grown at a considerable rate it was making it look even smaller than it was in Year 6.

"Yeah, she's hot, dude" Kai replied rapidly.

"I don't know, man. On one hand, she's super hot. But...well...even if we did get together I don't know how she'd feel about...you know" he replied, pointing subtly down towards his crotch.

"That's a good point, man. Abby though...phew. She's really into it, you know?" I replied.

"Seriously?! Like, I know she said she liked it...but I thought she was just being polite. She's so sweet, man" he excitedly asked, seemingly eager to really confirm that she didn't mind his micropenis.

The bus pulled up and I, along with all the other kids, disembarked to start collecting our luggage. After my conversation with Kai I started realising that, even though what I was doing was sneaky and embarrassing, if I could steer him in the direction of forming an actual romantic relationship with Abby I'd be doing the right thing by him. It would have been a foolish and unbelievably humiliating step for him to burn his bridges with Abby and chase a girl like Skye. And, speaking of Skye, I noticed as we were unloading the bags that she'd made a beeline for Kai after she'd picked up her suitcase and was not-so-subtly flirting with him - gently touching his arm, pretending to laugh at his silly jokes, the whole gamut of awkward, obvious pre-teen flirting. I approached Brianna.

"So...did you start the rumour?" I asked quietly.

"Oh, my God. It was so easy. I pretended that I'd overheard a couple of girls in the toilets talking about a time in Year 6 that they'd been to Lake Butler and seen one of the boys in our year skinny-dipping. I pretended that they didn't say his name, but that he had a huge dick. It was soooo funny. Oh! And then I told them that the girls were describing the boy and I made sure to make it sound like Kai. "Oh. So that explains why Skye is acting like...well...like that" I chuckled back, pointing over to the spectacle of Skye shamelessly flirting with Kai. Brianna nodded vigorously, giggling without restraint.

"Oh, my God. I can't wait to see her face when she sees it" she quietly tittered.

"Oh, I have good news, too. Kai asked me to stand guard outside the block when he's showering, so I'll have an excuse to sneak you guys in" I revealed. Brianna's eyes grew wide as her teeth glistened in the sunlight, revealing themselves through her broad, giddy smile.

"Awesome! I hope it's still as tiny as before, I can't wait to see the look on Skye's face!" she excitedly whispered as she leaned close to me. I looked her dead in the eyes and, with an overly-serious expression, moved closer to her. 

"Brianna, it hasn't grown at all. Kai was saying on the bus that he's had a growth spurt but because the rest of him has grown it looks even smaller than before" I said with feigned sternness. Brianna looked at me with her mouth hanging open for a split second, until she doubled over in laughter.

"No way...how the hell could it look smaller?! Skye's gonna think he's the biggest freak!" she quietly chuckled after composing herself. 

"I'll scope out the showers and let you know if it'll work at dinner, ok? You start dropping hints to the girls, and let them know I'll be coming along. Deal?" I instructed Brianna, knowing full well that she was enjoying this a little too much.

"Deal! Oh, my God. I hope you can see in there, this is gonna be so fun!" she squealed excitedly. 

"Ok, kids. Gather round! Everyone has their bags, so let's head off to the rooms. Boys, you go to my left with Mr Taylor, and girls you go to the right with Ms Bagshaw. We'll all meet outside our rooms in 30 minutes!" Mrs Spence ordered as all the kids rushed excitedly off into their respective gender groups. We all headed off to the bunks, with the girls at one end of the camp and boys at the other. I quickly settled into the room I was sharing with Kai and Jason and decided to spend the next few minutes exploring the shower block and making mental notes of any suitable places we could peek inside. I told Kai and Jason that I was just heading over to use the toilets - it quickly dawned on me on the walk over that, under the cover of night, it'd be easy for the girls to conceal themselves in the shadows of the large trees that lined the path to the shower block. I got there and, once inside, started looking for any openings, vents or slits that we could peek through. It didn't take long to discover that, at the very end of the shower room (which was simply one large room with around 10 shower heads all pointed towards the opposite wall, on which there was one long, large wooden bench) were a series of venting holes just large enough to peek through. On further inspection of the outside of the block I could see that these vents were the perfect size to crouch down and see through, offering an uninterrupted view of the entire shower room. It'd be crucial to convince Kai to use the shower at the far end of the room away from the entrance to offer the girls a clear view of him in his entirety. Satisfied with my detective work I set to thinking about how I'd balance the duties of chaperoning Kai over to the block while pretending to be on guard for any intruders and ensuring the girls were able to creep across to the showers unseen to take their place at the vent holes around the back. 

Later that day after our general orientation and doing a few activities on the obstacle course all the kids headed over to the main hall for dinner. We had strict instructions - dinner at 6.30pm, showering at 7.30pm and then everyone to be in their bunks by 8.30pm at the latest for lights out. Before dinner was served I managed to get a few minutes alone with Abby and Brianna.

"Did you find a spot, Blake?" Brianna giddily asked, reaching out to grab my arm in anticipation.

"I found the perfect spot - it's around the back of the boys showers. Did you speak to the other girls?" I asked, quietly. Both Abby and Brianna nodded eagerly with huge, cheesy grins forming on their faces.

"Yeah, they're so curious. Skye's convinced it's Kai who has...you know...the 'big package'" Abby bashfully whispered. Brianna giggled, holding her hands up to her mouth so as not to attract too much attention. 

"She's gonna freak out when she sees how tiny it is. She's not gonna be like you, Abby - in love with Kai's teeny-tiny peanut!" Brianna chuckled, playfully teasing Abby and sticking her tongue out.

"Shut up! Kai's looks prettier than a big, fat sausage" Abby quickly shot back, pouting at the insinuation that there was something abnormal about her infatuation with Kai and his micropenis. 

"Ok, guys, here's the plan. After dinner you girls hide behind the trees on the way to the showers. Brianna, I'll be standing just outside our bunks and once it's Kai's turn to shower I'll give you the thumbs up, so once he passes us get ready to sneak behind the back of the showers, ok?" I slowly instructed, as if to emphasise that we'll probably only get one shot at this before the other kids get suspicious. Abby and Brianna once again nodded eagerly.

"Ok, no problems. Oh, my God. I can't wait, this is going to be soooo funny!" Brianna answered back, hardly able to stand still with the excitement, her face flushing bright red at the mere thought of the plan coming to fruition. 

At that point we were all called over for dinner - for the next hour we all sat down and ate, punctuated by some minor food fights and gentle scalding from the teachers to keep the noise down. Truth be told Abby, Brianna and Myself couldn't eat fast enough to ensure we had enough time to get into our respective positions. With about 10 minutes left until we were dismissed for the showers I saw Brianna get up and walk over to Kimberley, Laura and Skye, who were sitting in a different part of the hall, and excitedly start whispering in their ears. Being too far away to hear exactly what she was saying I had to judge by their expressions -  without exception each of the girls listened intently to what Brianna was saying and, almost simultaneously, broke out into giddy smiles as they heatedly looked at each other with unbridled excitement. Of all the girls Skye was the most animated - fidgeting in her seat almost frantically her wide-eyed enthusiasm for the plan was overtly intense. "Sure thing, man. Do you want to try and get it over with first or wait until everyone else has gone?" I asked in hushed tones.

"Dude! Wait until everyone else has gone!" he anxiously responded, obviously keen to make sure he was completely alone before he dared bare his naked body. I just smiled politely and nodded as we walked over to the bunks.

"When are you gonna shower, dude?" Kai asked curiously.

"Oh, I'll give it a miss tonight. I'll have one tomorrow" I replied confidently, keen to mask my true intentions. Kai just shrugged, not really interested in my showering habits when he was so focused on his own priority of escaping the glare of his classmates. 

After 20 minutes or so it seems that most of the boys had been and gone, freshly showered, and were all back in their bunks getting changed for bed. I stood up with Kai as he grabbed his towel and soap and, slowly, started making our way over to the showers. Kai's body language was incredibly subdued as he fastidiously scanned the surroundings for lingering boys. The coast seemed clear and as we walked up the path towards the blocks I noticed, hidden in the shadows and barely visible, the rough outline of a young girl crouching behind a tree. It was Brianna. Kai hadn't noticed and so, waiting until we had passed the hiding girls, I quickly looked over and gave a clear 'thumbs up'. Out of the corner of my eye I fleetingly saw the silhouettes of the sneaky girls making their way rapidly over to the back of the shower block and then nearly jumped out of my skin upon hearing a boy's voice loudly exclaim "oi!" from behind me. It was Jason.

"You guys showering late as well?" he asked, as three of the other boys from our year caught up with us. Kai froze on the spot.

"Um...I was going to...but...I think I'll wait until tomorrow now" Kai managed to stammer, taken aback that he could have potentially been less than a few minutes away from four boys in his year becoming aware of his crippling micropenis.

"How come? You have your towel?" he responded curiously.

"Oh...yeah. There's a stain on it, I was just going to the block to wash it..." he quietly reasoned, the best excuse he could come up with. 

"Fair enough, more hot water for us, hey boys?" Jason responded, as Michael, Trent and Jordan nodded back. I really didn't want to expose these boys to the gazes of the five incredibly excited young girls hiding behind the block, but there was nothing I could do now. I turned to Kai.

"Dude, just wait back at the bunk. I'll go in with the boys because I need the toilet anyway, and then come and grab you when they're done, ok?" I whispered as the other four boys walked ahead of us. Kai just nodded, flushing red already, as he quickly made his way back to the bunk. I pretended to walk in behind the other boys but peeled off at the last minute and joined the girls behind the block. They were already peeking through the slits but all turned to look at me as I knelt down beside them.

"Guys, it's Jason, Trent, Michael and Jordan coming in. You've gotta be really quiet, ok!" I breathlessly said, the adrenaline of the situation catching up with me.

"Oh, my God! Jason! Yes! I bet the boy with the biggest dick is him!" Kimberley squealed.

"I reckon it's Trent. He's so muscly" Laura added matter-of-factly, as if she already knew the answer. Suddenly, the echo of footsteps filled the block as the four boys made their way into the shower room and started getting undressed.

"Where's Kai? Isn't he showering tonight?!" Skye eagerly asked as all the other girls turned to gaze into the shower room. 


"He's coming, he'll be in after these guys" I quietly replied, eliciting a gratified smile from Skye who then turned to watch the other boys.

The boys all put their towels on the benches opposite the wall with the shower heads and started getting undressed. Already barefoot and almost in unison the boys ripped their tops off, bantering about random boyish things, completely unaware that their every move was being studiously observed by five of their female classmates. Then the shorts came off, revealing a varied collection of colourful underwear.

"Oh, my God. Here it comes!" Brianna quietly whispered to nobody in particular.

And then, one by one, the boys started peeling their underwear off. Trent, Michael and Jordan all revealed very reasonable and modest-sized boyhoods. Ranging from 7-10cm long and all circumcised, the boys turned on the water and started enjoying the warmth of the water flowing over their bodies.

A deathly silence descended over the group as they all struggled to process the sight they were seeing. Jason, with no word of embellishment, was incredibly well-endowed. The other girls just nodded and watched in stunned silence. All except for Abby who was more concerned with brushing the dirt off her knees, obviously unimpressed by Jason's oversized genitals. 

"Do you reckon Kai's will be bigger?" Skye asked, turning to face Abby. 

"I doubt it..." Abby flatly responded as the other girls tittered knowingly. 

"Yeah, I don't think it'll be anywhere close, Skye" Brianna cheekily added. 

As the girls continued to speculate on the size of Kai's member, the boys finished up their showers, towelled off, got dressed and started to make their way out of the block.

"Ok, they've gone. Try and get Kai to shower!" Skye said impatiently as the other girls all nodded in agreement. 

I stood up and walked quickly around the block and down to the bunks, where Kai was waiting nervously outside our room.

"Ok, dude. Coast is clear. I'll stand guard" I said, feigning a lack of interest. Kai simply gave one short nod and joined me on the short walk back up to the block as I saw the rest of the boys disappear into their rooms. As we approached the entrance I gave Kai an instruction. 

"Try to use the shower right at the back, just in case anyone pushes their way through. Then again least you can turn to the wall to...you know...make sure they can't see your...your..." I stammered, trying to avoid saying 'micropenis' aloud. 

"Good tip, man. I'll be about 10 minutes, ok?" Kai softly responded before quickly removing his shoes and entering the block. 

As soon as he went in I quietly tip-toed around the side and took my place next to the girls.

"Ok, he's coming in. Get ready!" I advised. The girls all broke into huge grins as they locked their gazes upon the empty shower room. After a few seconds Kai appeared.

"Oh, my God. There he is!" Kimberley giggled as Kai appeared in the shower room carrying his large beach towel, his shirt, shorts and underwear the only things now saving him from complete and utter exposure.

"Dude, you're a legend for organising this" Skye graciously said to Brianna, turning to face her with a thankful smile and then quickly readjusting her gaze to the shower room. 

"Yeah, thanks Brianna. This is so cool!" Kimberley added. Brianna was positively glowing, ecstatic that her plan to reintegrate herself into the affections of the group was paying off. 

"Look, look! It's starting!" Laura interrupted, as Kai placed his towel down on the bench and started removing his shirt. He did so slowly, anxiously looking back towards the entrance lest any stray boys intrude upon his bathing. He then placed his shirt next to his towel, neatly folded. 

"Oh, my God. Look at his six-pack" Skye lustily drawled, entranced by the amazing physical shape Kai kept himself.

With one final glance Kai turned his back to the entrance to, unknowingly, face all of us front-on. "I think I've heard what this is called" Brianna sneakily disclosed to the group, being very careful as to how she framed her next statement. Kimberley, Laura and Skye looked at her curiously.

"You guys, I've eaten tic-tacs bigger than that. It'll probably get to 5cm, that's it!" Kimberley tittered. Skye was now red-faced as she desperately clasped her hands over her mouth to stifle her cackling, leaning completely on Brianna to prop her convulsing body up. The girls all focused their gazes on the showering boy who, it seemed, was getting less nervous that anyone would intrude. Curious as to what they'd be discussing I took a seat behind the room divider, neither Kai nor Abby aware of my presence, and listened in. "Abby...um....I wanted to ask you something. And, it's totally cool if you say no!" he stated softly, starting to blush profusely.

"What is it, Kai?" Abby answered back, leaning closer towards him in anticipation.

"Well...like...you've been so cool since last year. You know, since...that thing. And...well...do you, like..." Kai stammered nervously.

"Do I what? You can ask me anything, don't worry!" Abby responded eagerly, pushing her slipping glasses back up her nose.

"Oh, my God. Of course I will!" Abby beamed as she jumped out of her chair and enveloped the surprised boy in a joyous hug. Kai firmly hugged her back, a look of relief flowing across his relaxing face and he closed his eyes and enjoyed the embrace. Abby let go and took her seat again, positively beaming.

You just wanna play with it, and hug it, and kiss it" Abby explained in detail, stopping suddenly as soon as the word 'kiss' left her lips realising what she'd just said. Kai looked stunned, his mouth agape and eyes wide.

"Ki...kiss it?" He asked, shocked 

"No! No, I mean, I didn't mean kiss! I didn't mean it like that! Oh, my God. I mean that I just get the same feeling when I see something really cute!" Abby clumsily responded, flushing red as a beetroot. Kai just nodded slowly.

"And, I mean, I can't play with it or hug it. It's not long enough" she playfully added with a sympathetic smile, feeling confident enough to inject some mild humour into the situation. Kai, surprisingly, grinned. 

"Ok, as long as you're cool with it, Abby" he warmly responded as he reached out and held her hand. This time, it was Abby's turn to blush again. 

"Oh, my God. I can't believe I'm your girlfriend" Abby squealed, her pale skin turning a bright shade of pink. 

"I've gotta go and get some breakfast and make some plans with the boys. Let's talk later, ok?" Kai responded.

"Cool, I can see the girls coming over now anyway. Let's talk at lunch?" Abby giddily responded.

"Sweet. I'll see you at lunch" Kai replied standing up and, leaning over, planting an affectionate kiss on the young girl's blushing cheek. Abby giggled bashfully, no sign that her wide smile would leave her face any time soon, as Kai began walking to the other end of the hall.

Brianna, Kimberley, Laura and Skye began walking over before stopping briefly to engage Kai, the first time they'd seen the boy since the voyeuristic performance they witnessed the evening before. Brianna immediately broke into a broad grin while Kimberley and Laura bashfully looked down at the floor. "Kai asked me to be his boyfriend!" she blurted out as we took our seats. With the exception of Skye all the girls broke into huge smiles.

"Yeah, you two are perfect for each other" Brianna added warmly.

Abby just nodded giddily as the other girls congratulated her and asked how it happened. Abby explained that he just suddenly asked her this morning and that she immediately said yes. Skye, meanwhile, sat there with a look that could burn through steel. None of the other girls had boyfriends and I got the impression that, being the best looking girl in the group, she was feeling completely undercut by the fact that the most unlikely girl had managed to land one of the most attractive boys in the year. She sat there, scowling, before joining in.

"Yeah, congratulations. Whatever. I'd never go out with a boy who has a dick that tiny" she spitefully added, as the other girls looked over at her in shock. Abby just sat there in silence, hurt.

"Good! I was thinking about this last night. It's my turn to have a plan, now" Skye arrogantly replied, simultaneously taking a map of the camp and local area out of her back pocket and placing it on the table in front of the group. The girls and I leaned over as Skye started revealing the plan she'd conjured up last night.

On the last day of camp it was scheduled for the entire year to go on a 3 hour hike to a local lake. According to the map around 2 kilometres from the camp there was an abandoned shack, which presumably had been used for forest rangers some time ago. Although it wasn't on our route Skye suggested that Abby could feign an injury and ask Kai to take her to the shack so she could rest and recover. The rest of the girls would pretend to run ahead to tell the teachers that Abby was resting for a while and would re-join the group later on, but in actuality would hide around the side of the shack and peek in one of the windows. Truth be told it was actually quite an effective plan and, given the timing of Kai and Abby's extremely recent courtship, had a large chance of succeeding. Once Skye had finished explaining the initial outline Abby chimed in.

"But...like...how will I convince him to get nude?" she asked, innocently.

"Come on, Abby. He's a boy, you're his girlfriend, you'll be alone in the forest. Seduce him! Like, start kissing him and convince him to show you his body" Skye impatiently explained. 

"Yeah, it won't be hard. Just ask to see his six-pack and take it from there" Kimberley offered gently, as if to encourage the shy, young girl to take a chance.

"Um...alright, guys. I'll...I'll try" Abby quietly responded, blushing once again.

"No. You'll do it, Abby. Or Kai's secret gets out, understand?" Skye belligerently countered before collecting her map, stuffing them brusquely into her pocket and then storming out of the hall. We all sat there nervously as Abby fidgeting with her hands and compulsively re-adjusted her glasses. She was the first to break the silence.

"Guys, I'll do this but you've gotta convince her not to say anything. I really want this to work out with Kai" Abby implored passionately, worried less about exposing her boyfriend and more about the impact any rumours would have on his reputation. 

"Don't worry, Abby. I'll convince her. Remember, she has a crush on Jason now so I can use that against her. Two can play at this game" Brianna replied, followed by a cheeky smirk. This seemed to calm Abby down as she nodded and smiled back at Brianna.

"Come on, let's go get some breakfast. We'll talk about the plan later. I can't believe you two are going out, it's so cool!" Kimberley added, standing up and rushing over to Abby to give her a long hug. Abby hugged her back in genuine appreciation that she was happy for her.

"I know, I can't believe it either. I never thought I'd have a boyfriend as hot as him!" Abby beamed back, not only happy but intensely proud that she'd managed to secure an incredibly attractive young boy as a partner.  

And with that we all got up and headed over to the buffet to grab our breakfast before another full day of activities. It should take around three hours but if everyone can make it there by midday we'll still be far ahead of schedule. Let's move out!" Mrs Spence ordered as, predictably, the most competitive kids raced to the front for the chance to brag about being first at the lake. Our little group was the last to leave and, setting out for our new adventure, started innocently chatting and gossiping as Kai and Abby trailed behind us, hands firmly locked together as if the mere thought of being apart was painful to them. After about an hour of walking, and with no other kids in sight, Skye asked Abby to come to the front - I dropped back and started chatting with Kai about his blossoming relationship with Abby as the young girl briskly walked to the front. Although I couldn't hear what they were talking about it was obvious - we were approaching the abandoned shack and it was time for Abby to put on her little performance. "I...I just stepped on a rock and twisted it. Can you help me stand up?" Abby asked, meekly pretending she couldn't put any weight on her foot. 

"Ok, just take it slow. Skye, can you help me?" Kai asked in concern as she grabbed Abby under the arm and helped haul her up. 

"Guys, the map says there's a shack a few hundred meters away. Let's take her there" Skye authoritatively demanded, Kai nodding in rapid agreement.

"Don't worry, you can rest in there for a while until we get help" Kai softly said, genuinely trying to comfort Abby. The young girl looked up at him with doe eyes, slightly guilty that she was luring the boy into yet another humiliating exposure but incredible excited and humbled that he was trying to protect and comfort her the way a real boyfriend should. "You guys keep warm. Abby, if you can't walk on it just wait here and we'll pick you both up on the way back, ok?" Kimberley tenderly added, smiling at the young girl and softly squeezing her hand.

"Thanks, guys. We'll be fine here. I'll see how it feels in about half an hour" Abby responded gingerly, conscious that she still needed to pretend she couldn't walk.

"Guys, chill. I figured out a way to circle around to the back. I've been studying the map, remember?!" Skye impatiently shot back, vigorously waving the piece of paper out in front of us. 

Skye took charge once again and suddenly dived into the tree line, the rest of us following eagerly, as she stomped a trail through the overgrowth to what was presumably the rear of the cabin. As we followed her for a few moments she suddenly turned around and, with her index finger held in front of her lips and eyes wide open, whispered "shhhhhh!". We went deathly silent, tip-toeing through the bush until the rear of the cabin came into view. Luckily, the topography meant that we were actually raised quite a distance above ground level and could easily see through a narrow dusty window directly above the bed where Abby laid.
