The Naked Mermaid

This was a prompt for the prize last time, and I decided to not only do it but also turn it into a longer piece. I’ll be honest I’m winging it. No idea where this will go.

Part 1

Calliope basked in the deep sea of Atlantis. Her sisters were all married off or working as they proved how much better they were than the youngest. Calliope was the sister of 4 girls which brought a lot of competition her way. From oldest to youngest there was Nadia a popular singer who often performed on the reef, Janessa a model for the Amphitrite’s Boutique, Malaysia a business woman of the Athens Emporium, and Delphine a sensational star and popular in 3 oceans.

Calliope was not so lucky. She wasn’t born with the biggest chest unlike most mermaids, in fact, she was cursed with only two tiny teardrops. Her tail was unfortunately rather small too making her only 4’5” and she was often confused for a merchild which was embarrassing to say the least. If it wasn’t for her long silver hair and her olive skin, she would have nothing to compete with her sisters.

Calliope was often teased and there was a rumor that she stuffed her seashells. Calliope dreamed of visiting the surface world and hopefully finding someone who just understood her anguish. Then, on her 18th birthday, Calliope was given the opportunity to visit the beach. She peered out to see a group of girls around a girl small in size. The smaller girl was being surrounded as the girls towered over her.

“Winnie, you’re such a loser! You call those boobs? You look like a boy without a shirt on!” One of the girls yelled.

“Please, Ava, I’ve seen boys with bigger breasts than her!” Another sneered.

“You’re right, Cammy. She looks like a BABY. BABY LITTLE WINNIE!” A third laughed.

The fourth and final girl laughed as she prodded the small girl’s body. “Let’s remove her swimsuit! Make her run nakie!”

“Great idea, Janet,” Ava said as she grabbed the straps of the girl’s one piece, pulling on the straps.

“No! Please! Don’t take my swimsuit! I don’t wanna be nakie! Please, my brother’s home. He’ll see me,” Winnie begged. “Please.”

“Aw baby Winnie’s afraid of her big brother seeing her nakie. Hahaha. Well let’s make sure she’s extra bare for him!” Cammy yelled.

Without another word, Calliope rushed out of the water, her seashells falling off and her tail turning into feet. Calliope stumbled as she touched sand, but kept going. “HEY! Leave her alone!”

The girls all turned to see the little mermaid standing by the shore, naked the day she was born. The girls laughed and Janet said. “Look Winnie, another naked girl has come to your rescue. Maybe you can kiss her and she’ll turn you back into a frog.”

The girls shoved the now naked Winnie to the ground and ran off. Calliope blushed as she approached the girl. “Are you okay? I’m Calliope. Those girls were awful,” Calliope said. “They remind me of girls back at home.”

“M-my name’s Winifred, b-but everyone calls me Winnie. W-why are you n-naked?” Winnie sniffled, rubbing her eyes.

Calliope grew scarlet. “I… um… well… I like swimming naked,” Calliope decided to answer. “It’s very… freeing.”

“W-where did you come from?” Winnie asked.

“Atlan- ahem Atlantic Street,” Calliope said.

“I’ve never heard of that… is that a street nearby?” Winnie asked.

“Um, not exactly. It’s a little out of town,” Calliope said.

“Oh, so Callie, is it alright if I call you that?” Winnie asked.

Calliope nodded. “Sure.”

“Why did you… intervene?” Winnie asked.

“Why wouldn’t I?” Calliope asked. “Besides, I understand being judged for your breast size. The girls back home always make fun of me. I’m not like the other mer-ahem women. I was cursed with bad genes I guess. Look at these, they’re tiny.”

“They’re bigger than mine,” Winnie said. “Oh um… I mean. They’re really pretty.”

“You think?” Calliope said, looking down.

Winnie nodded. “In fact you’re really pretty. I like your hair, is it dyed?”

“Um,” Calliope said. “Y-yeah. It’s dyed. Totally not my natural color. Um. I’m sorry, do you have any clothes?”

“Sorry, those girls took my only clothing,” Winnie said. “Besides why would you come to the beach without clothing?”

“Why did you?” Calliope asked.

“Well, I mean I live here just over there,” Winnie pointed. “In fact… this is supposed to be a private beach. I’m not sure you’re supposed to be here.”

“Oh?” Calliope said, looking around. “I um, didn’t realize.”

“That’s okay. Where did you park?” Winnie asked.

“Park? I don’t know where the park is,” Calliope said.

Winnie tilted her head. “What?”

Calliope laughed. “Oh um, let’s go to your place maybe I can borrow some clothes.”

“No,” Winnie said. “My brother’s home. He’ll see us.”

“Is that a bad thing?”

“I can’t just bring home a naked girl!” Winnie shrieked. “What do you want to show off for my brother?”

“I dunno, is he cute?” Calliope joked.

“Ew,” Winnie said.

“I’m kidding. I don’t really like guys anyways,” Calliope said.

“Oh,” Winnie said.

“So how old are you?” Calliope inquired.

“Physically 12 according to those girls, but I’m 19. Promise,” Winnie said. “What about you?”

“18. My birthday is today actually I was finally allowed to come to the… um… beach…” Calliope said.

“You weren’t allowed to come to the beach until now?” Winnie said, confused. “How come?”

“Uh, strict parents,” Calliope said. “Overprotective.”

“Oh,” Winnie said.

“Look, I say we grin and bear it,” Calliope said. “I mean, is it really bad if your brother sees you naked?”

“Uh, yeah,” Winnie said.

“Fine. Then I’ll go inside and you can wait while I get clothes,” Calliope said.

Winnie raised an eyebrow. “You would do that?”

“Sure, princess. I can be your prince and save the day,” Calliope said.

“Wouldn’t that make you…”

Calliope blushed. “Ahem anyways. Let’s go.”

Winnie grumbled. “Fine, but if my brother catches me, I’m killing you.”

Interesting start to this.

Full disclosure, my ex wife was OBSESSED with the mermaid teen soap opera H2O and its spinoff, where half of the plot centered around the mermaids trying to avoid any of the humans discovering that they were actually mermaids in human form. If they touched any water they started transforming against their will, and only turned back when dry. It was a constant mayhem-fest. So on some level this story was reminding me of that and it amused me.

Yeah I was debating about what I wanted to do with the varied mermaid lore of some turning to tails as soon as they hit the water and some able to control whether they want tails or feet as long as they’re on shallow water of course. I was thinking a mix of Little Mermaid and a mix of my own creative freedoms for the lore. And honestly it’s more convenient if she can actually control her legs to some degree.

Anyway, I think mermaids are always good for ENF, what with the seashell bras. Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

That woman is a goddess. It was so ridiculous how everybody agrees that Cleo was the hottest mermaid by far in both shows, yet she was written as the "plain" one that nobody was interested in.

Speaking of mermaid ENF, very young me was always interested in the ENF scene from the Little Mermaid when Ariel turned into a naked human. For a preteen boy that scene was scandalous.

For me my first real memory of being obsessed with ENF from when I was probably 10 or 11 was watching the parent trap. The scene were the girls play poker and one loses has had to jump into the lake naked and gets her clothes stolen. It's a PG film but for me I was gobsmacked hehe!

My first encounter was actually an ENM moment with the Hooky episode from Spongebob and the Pranks-A-Lot episode. And then it kinda spiraled with more moments in media. There’s one scene in the book Divergent with Triss in a towel which also helped push the idea of ENF.

I've mentioned before that there are several key ENF/ENM moments from TV and movies from my childhood that I remember vividly, and that (along with daycare and a huge level of spying on people) they were a huge part of my sexual development in my preteen years. Because I was young at the time, most of these involve minors and were from kids media. It's honestly a little odd how many scenes of that nature exist.

One of the big ones was the first episode of Alex Mack, where the title character's newfound superpower to turn into a puddle malfunctions and she accidentally materializes fully naked in front of her older sister and her male best friend. She then begs her sister for her clothes while her friend stares at her.

The Little Rascals movie featured Alfalfa losing his underwear swimming across a swimming pool, emerging naked without knowing it right in front of his ex girlfriend and the boy who replaced him. The girl blatantly enjoys the view and comments on it as he frantically fishes his briefs out of the water and pulls them back on.

There was this dumb movie I watched in class called the Amazing Panda Adventure which featured a scene where the boy and girl in the jungle accidentally got covered in leeches. In a panic they both stripped naked and ripped them all off. A few seconds later, they both shyly realized what they just did, turning to look at the other before hiding under the water. The scene continues with them talking on either side of a bush trying to play it cool while covering up their nudity. At the end, the boy remembers something important to the plot and sprints to shore right in front of the girl, accidentally forgetting about his own nudity for a second. I cannot stress enough how terrible the rest of this movie was, even as a kid, but that scene was a surprisingly good dual ENF/ENM considering it was about freaking preteens.

A goofy summer camp movie called Camp Nowhere featured a plot point where one of the boys was obsessed with trying to skinny dip with one of the girls. At the end of the movie, she pretended to be naked under the water surface, placing her swimsuit on the dock, and dared him to prove that he wasn't all talk. Once he stripped and put his own suit on the dock, she walked off (wearing a different swimsuit the whole time) and stole both suits, leaving him naked and alone in the lake.

There was a scene from the Weird Science TV show where Lisa (the computer-generated genie) is wished to strip naked. She complies, but the show has black censor bars blocking the goods. The boys stare for a while, then complain about the black bars blocking the view for them too. Lisa then tells them that they can't see her naked or else they will lose all interest in human girls. It's a cock-tease moment that I remember. That show actually had a bunch of random ENF and ENM scenes if I remember correctly.

Also the movie itself had a girl lose her clothing piece by piece as it was sucked into a vortex in the chimney. The entire crowd from the party watched her as she is stripped naked, holding on for dear life trying not to get sucked in herself. Eventually she lets go and is shot out the top of the chimney into the pool, still completely naked at a party full of her classmates.

I was not sheltered as a kid one bit and watched a lot of horror movies, so I watched Alien 3 in its entirety on premium TV when it came out. One of the scenes features Ripley waking up completely naked with a male doctor working on her, and freaking out. She later calmed down from that and threatened to walk out into the rest of the prison naked if she wasn't given her clothes fast enough.

I also watched the Blue Lagoon on premium TV as a kid. That whole-ass movie is loaded with ENF and ENM shots which actually showed the parts involved, even though I'm fairly certain the actors were underaged at the time. It was a heavily-sexual coming of age movie about two young children stranded on a deserted island alone for about a decade, which leads to them getting very horny for each other while having absolutely no clue what sex or puberty are.

One of the weirdest ones I remember came from the first season of Stargate SG1 when it was still on Showtime and was uncensored. There is an episode where a young girl goes into cardiac arrest and they have to give her CPR and use the defibrillator her. In order to do this, they tear open her shirt, and the show actually showed her topless despite the fact that she was like 12ish. Part of me is still amazed that such a scene was actually aired on television. Young me found it hot at the time, in addition to fantasizing what it was like for that actress to go to school and face her classmates after her topless scene just aired on TV for everyone she knew to see.

There are probably a lot more examples, these are just off the top of my head. The 90s had a ton of ENF/ENM content all over the place, even in kids shows, so I was very interested in loads of it growing up.
