As the writer/creator,
As a fan of the character MY character is based on,
It is a HARD decision.
I see the feedback, and I appreciate and agree,
But it it isn’t clear cut (yet)
But this current chapter is a step (in one direction
I ask, Is there a reason for the decision?
I don’t disagree, just to be clear.
Sam feels like a good match, age wise, and I love the character.
But I do realize that (outside of age) I have written Christine to be a clear source of affection/lust for Mark.
As a fan of the character MY character is based on,
It is a HARD decision.

I was sad during the long break between chapters on here but now I think that break was a good thing, the story feels very refreshed and vibrant right now and there are tons of great ideas bursting out. It's great fun to read.

I like Jade and Victoria. Any reason why Jade was not used in the story? (just curious)
The reason I chose Christine over Sam was Christine seems to care and love Mark genuinely. Though it appears to be Mark likes Sam. I guess all we saw of Sam is teasing Mark except for the chapter 33.
Edit: The date between Sam and Mark can be helpful in making a final decision.

Oh I see what the context here is. I think it's the difference in dynamic for each character. Christine clearly likes Mark but the same thing isn't reflected, yet and Mark likes Sam and the feeling isn't reflected yet. To add as well, Christine does have magic that is used to affect Mark which is something Sam doesn't have so the relationship with each character would just be different.
