Nicely done, out of curiosity is Shane considered a nerd or popular by his peers?

Hey Dr Who Fan,
Anything new? Still eagerly awaiting chapter 11!
I hope you’re doing well and plan to post another story soon :)
Best wishes, Bobby

Loved him being forced to ogle. Fascinating scenario overall.

I am also still hoping this story receives more chapters

I know it has been a while, but it's never too late!

Sorry, everyone, but this isn’t a new chapter, more an explanation of why there haven’t been new chapters for nearly nine months.
(TL;DR: I haven’t forgotten it; it’s just that circumstances have conspired against me having the time to get back to writing this.)
Shortly after posting the last chapter, my college courses started ramping up towards exam season for September (with the significant reduction in free time that entails), and I’ve been not particularly well since then (so not really been in a state compatible with extended writing).
Add to that that I also lost the document where I’d been planning and drafting the rest of the story, and you get the reason this story would appear to have been abandoned.
I even considered offering to let someone else continue in my absence (with the option to either alternate chapters or me to simply continue from their endpoint once I become available again), but that inherently runs a not-inconsiderable risk of interfering with that author’s other ongoing stories that are far better-written than I could ever hope to achieve myself.
[If I still haven’t resumed work on this once you’ve finished SHSH (or you want a well-deserved break from it), then you’re welcome to turn your talents to progressing this one on my behalf, dsweenz71!]

I am honoured with the offer DrWhoFanJ

It's flattering that you would trust this story for me to round out.
However, when I find a story I like, I want to be surprised by the author's path for the story... not my own. If I was to take your story over, I would stop loving it in the same way, because I would already know everything that was going to happen and the details would be coming from my own mind... making it less 'sexy' as a story to myself because I am bound by my own details and descriptions. It's a bit hard to explain, but I hope that makes some sort of sense.
You did mention collaborating, such as writing alternating chapters. I could, potentially, be open to this idea... If you aren't able to continue before I finish my current story (although I truly hope you are able to! My first choice is to be a reader of this story), feel free to remind me and maybe we could write the rest together. I would hate for this to go unfinished forever

Sorry to hear that Dr Who Fan, I hope you’re now on the road to recovery. I’d assumed your college course was ramping up so was anticipating a pause for a while, sorry to hear you’ve also been unwell.
Well, there’s no rush of course! I agree with Dsweens, in that continuing another writer’s story takes the fun out of it for the person taking over — the excitement of reading a brand new chapter for the first time is magical! Trying to mimic the style of writing, so as to keep it feeling consistent, is also quite tricky.
I hope you gradually come round to writing again and manage to work out a new roadmap document. Perhaps after a break from it, some new ideas may come!
Wishing you all the best,
Take care,
Bobby
