Pantsing and Stripping Forums

I really think that at least for now the forum needs to stop new members joining for a little while.

Yes it's extreme but the spam problem is getting worse and worse. Stopping new members being able to sign up at least gives us time to think of a proper idea to prevent it happening.

Yes, the forum is nearly unusable at this point
Stopping member creations till we find a solution is necessary imo

My suggestions are

Signature ban until approved (set number off valid posts)

First 5 posts need to be approved (painful but got to be less work than deleting threads)

ISP log for the spammers (got to be possible)

This would be possible, but probably not very useful as it can be spoofed or set up through a rented platform, like AWS. A new instance with a new IP can be created manually in minutes, probably seconds automated.

These would probably be the choices go forward with in the long run. Sorry mods. Maybe another one or two could be added for the time.

So just curious. What about a verification thing? Like pick every picture with a bus type shit.

It's clearly a human creating the accounts, but probably a bot posting the content... too many times they have used fake accounts designed to mimic real users like Girlpns and Darkly.

I am in favor of restricting new accounts for a week before they can post, if that is a posibility

Restricting new accounts for a week is not enough. Restricting them to all post approvals for a month is needed.

Approving posts can't be as much work cleaning up this crap.
