This brings up an important point about writing ENM stories--the necessity of finding synonyms for "penis." I guess it's pretty much up to the author. Personally, I'm not crazy about some of them. I never use "cock"--I don't like it and it bothers me when I see it in other stories. I guess it's too powerful for my preference. I don't know why. I'm not crazy about "dick," although I've had characters in my stories use it, sometimes with a diminutive like "dickie-poo." I like female characters using "bazooka," or "pickle," or "he's got a rocket in his pocket." Or something like "little-boy parts"--something humiliating. Or, if some element in the story is right, I can turn a word into a simile--like I did with lower-case "kalamazoo." These all work pretty well when one of the characters is using it. For some reason, I prefer to have my narrator simply use the word "penis." But, of course, all this is just my own preference. It seems to work.
