Harvard Women's Hockey Hazing + My true story

Those are some interesting experiences! They remind me of a tidbit I heard from a college roommate of mine. He was on a voice and/or video call with someone, and apparently didn't care about me being in the same room and hearing about what he was saying.

Anyway, he mentioned a tradition wherein the track team (or maybe just the track runners who also ran cross country) would get together one night at the end of the season, strip off, and run some naked laps around one of the athletic fields. It could hardly be called hazing, since it was apparently something they'd all do together (and only at the end of the season). But I have to wonder whether there was a similar dynamic to hazing, where some people would feel hesitant but would ultimately go through with it due to peer pressure. (Peer pressure of a softer sort, perhaps, but peer pressure nevertheless.)

I couldn't tell you how those "team bonding" nights went. I was never a witness, and never heard about it afterward. But my roommate did mention that he and a few others had done a test run of it one night with their underwear still on, only to be caught by campus security. Reportedly, they just explained the situation to the security officer, and he was cool with it. Still, being caught by security while in that compromised state could easily cause some momentary panic, not to mention embarrassment.

It's easy to understand how experiences like yours would result in some certain interests, eventually leading you to forums like this one. Truthfully, I might've liked to see that track team naked run as a spectator. But I didn't know when/where they'd do it, and also didn't want to be caught red handed as a creeper watching from the bushes.
