Is there anyway we could limit bringing old stories back to the front page?

I'm afraid I was one of those responsible. I read the back catalogue and wanted to make a positive comment.

Apologies for any problems, but I'm a little put out by the tone of some of the comments. Maybe a better response would be a polite request to the poster or a private message, I'm sure this would be more effective and less aggressive.

To be fair I don't think anyone was being aggressive. I stated my opinion on it being annoying/at times seeming somewhat uncomfortable. I didn't pm you or the others because it was 4 or so names going back and forth all basically saying the same things. It just came off really odd to me and kind of inconsiderate to current writers to bump all those old posts up with suggestions and praises. Nothing to get worked up over just made a post to see if I was the only one annoyed or put off by it. Not going to pm 4 people to request they stop. I'm not a moderator so I wanted others takes on it/possible solutions to avoid this. Sorry you felt insulted or whatever
