AI stories

Post by indianboy »

What's the board view on AI generated stories? I am not asking about stories where user simply puts situation like say a girl caught naked while completing date and copy pasting the entire story but about stories where for example the user has a situation in mind or some embarrassing incident has happened with him/her and wants to expand it to a story but does not have writting skills so uses AI to generate story and modify it as per his/her wishes instead of copy pasting it entirely.
Does the board allow it? Also if someone is posting such a story do readers enjoy or want to be informed that story is generated by help of AI (actually it does become obvious in reading that it's an AI story)?

I imagine if you post clearly that its AI and not your own work it should be ok, I did a few short paragraphs on some AI links that were posted on this site last year and they were ok for my tastes (they would be, they were my prompts), but they weren't long enough for my tastes.

I just like reading good stories, that are to my tastes

I prefer the human touch but can see no objection to clearly labelled AI generated stories. I do notice, however, that photo forums tend to have a specific sub category for AI generated images and perhaps we would need a sub board to avoid confusion ?

I second that well-thought out suggestion. AI should indeed have a sub forum for computer generated work otherwise this denigrates (Merriam-Webster definition: to deny the importance or validity of; belittle their achievements) the hard work of other real humans who devote so much time and effort into actually CREATING something.

I have some 'ideas' of scenarios but lack the writing skills to fill them out. (I tried and failed)
I might enjoy trying AI on some of these ideas to see what stories might come out.

As far as the board is concerned, I would suggest a separate forum just for AI stories (ENF/ENM/etc). That makes sure we all understand that they are AI generated. I would suggest an introductory paragraph setting out what was put into AI.

I'm in favor of the separate sub-forum idea. I personally use a lot of AI RP Generators recreationally, and have been exploring how ENM/ENF content can be created through it.

Several of the AI art forums I've perused require the prompt being included or attached. I don't know about requiring it but certainly I'd like to see it be a strong recommendation.

AI definitely needs editing when generating stories. It will have the person naked in one sentence and then the same character undressing again in a following sentence. Though it can definitely be a help for those of us without great creative writing skills.

Unlike image generation prompts, a prompt for a story could be very long. It would contain a good portion of the story. The few times I've tried creating one I've had to try and guide it along with multiple prompts in the same session.
