Hopefully, he is a normally developed 13 year old boy or even better if he's above average especially when he has a boner. I just don't find sph stories exciting at all. That's just me though.

Same with me but if it is required for story then I am ok with it. I don’t like pure sph stories. Here Mark has a very big one so I am fine with James being small. But I am sure he will do good once puberty kicks in.

I will go ahead and put you all at ease as far as the SPH aspect goes.
I do not like SPH.
I (personally) don’t get anything out of it.
I have written some SPH characters before, and I have trouble with them, because it always ends up feeling one note and cruel.
(Might be getting a little personal here, but oh well )
I generally try to follow the rule as a writer of “Write what you know.” (Make of that what you will)

Now, that being said, we now know Mark is WELL ABOVE average in size, especially for a 16 year old.
He is clearly well into puberty, as the girls were able to trim him on Halloween.
We also have a *pretty good estimate of Mark’s measurements (including the actual numerical value, which is written on a piece of paper somewhere in Mark’s mom’s sewing room) which has yet to be verbally disclosed lol (Gotta keep SOME mystery, right? )

Now, we’ve seen Mark’s reaction to seeing James naked, and while Mark may feel bad for James based on what he saw, keep some things in context:
Mark has had ZERO other boys around for reference since completing puberty himself.
He knows he’s well endowed, but is maybe still a bit naive as to just HOW WELL endowed he is.
What I’m getting at is that Mark most likely doesn’t know what ‘average’ looks like as far as penis size goes, and therefore, the girls of Wicker Creek probably don’t know either.
Now, obviously, all the girls have at least an idea of what ‘big’ is, as evidenced by the way they react to Mark.

All that to say this:
I have NO intention of James holding a candle to Mark when it comes to size, but I feel that’s just realistic, given the age difference.
James is (most likely, unless I drastically change my mind) endowed just fine for a 13 year old boy still going through puberty.
For example, look at Cameron from BareB4U’s Sharing A Changing Cubicle masterpiece.
In that story, even though Cam hasn’t hit all the physical benchmarks associated with puberty, he was able to impress and ejaculate a good amount, despite not quite being fully developed.
I see no reason why James in Magic should be used purely as a source for derision in my story.
My hope is that he’ll be a way for me (as the writer) to offer a variation in perspective outside of Mark and the girls.

It’s not going to change the level of embarrassment he feels, despite Mark’s little pep talk

I feel bad for getting it wrong about James. I completely forgot that Mark has never seen another penis before. It all makes sense now. Happy to see that James is doing fine for his age.

In this excerpt from the last chapter, we get a pretty spot on description of what James is packing:

*James took a deep breath and whipped his shirt off.
He was skinny, but had a good frame.
If he worked out, he could pack on a bit of muscle.
He then unbuttoned his jeans and let them drop to the floor.
He stepped out of them.
He was now in just a pair of tight navy blue briefs.
My heart sank for him.
At first glance, it didn’t look like he was that far into puberty yet.
I knew how developed my sister and her friends were, I could only hope James didn’t have anything to be ashamed of.
He was trembling.
He looked up at me, then at my penis.
“Own it.” I said and gave him a nod of solidarity.
James nodded back and pulled his briefs down and off.
He stood up with his eyes closed tight.
I winced.
He was completely hairless, and I don’t think he shaved.
I was also surprised that he was circumcised.
I didn’t think they did that in the UK.
But as to why I winced-
I had only ever seen my own penis, or ones in porn movies.
James’ penis hung flaccid, maybe only 3 inches, with a slight bend to the right.*

I would expect James is completely average for his age, if not lagging behind a bit in development, but no SPH.
Again, keep in mind Mark is well ABOVE average in size, so sure, if the only measure of James is against Mark, I guess it might feel like SPH

Now, I do have some other ideas that will (at least for a bit) make James extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed (beyond being the only naked boy at Wicker Creek Middle)

I do have a question that I’d like an answer to as quickly as possible, as I’m almost done with the next chapter:

Should James be exposed to our 3 main girls BEFORE he has to start school?
Or should I wait and make his debut in front of the entire middle school?

First answer is what I’ll go with

I think making a debut in front of the school is better. I think if he is exposed to 3 girls before school, he might be less embarrassed when he is naked at the school.

Anyway it’s just my opinion and I don’t know if it fits with your idea for the next chapter.
