Chapter 27. No More Never Grow Up?

a while longer.

All the human kids leave the bedroom, and Pepper gets left behind once again.

With the human children staying downstairs for a while, Pepper has time to think. The events of this day have him confused, elated, shocked,

there was more magic in the world. Nobody knows the full extent of Santa's powers. The rumor is this...Santa put a powerful spell over the
area surrounding the workshop. Santa was getting old, but he didn't want to get any older. He placed a time warp, or some sort of sort of
Non-Aging spell on the place. Santa hasn't gotten any older for a long time now, and neither has any of the Elves. The young elves are small
when Santa first brings them to the North Pole. These child elves grow until that magical age just at the mid-point of being a child and a
grownup. Their development becomes arrested just before they are the maturity that Pepper sees in Aaron. Aaron has a patch of what the
kids call pubic hair. Aaron has a larger coal sack, a thicker piss wizzer and that pisser can do more than shoot piss out.

Could it be that since Pepper is not at the North Pole, not inside Santa's Workshop, that the age blocking spell is also no longer in effect?

Pepper looks over at the window. He could open it up and slip outside, climb down to the ground level. He needs to find a reindeer ranch and
a sleigh. Stepping over to the window, Pepper tries to push the window upward. It is stuck. Break the glass? Pepper looks around the room
to find something hard enough to break the window.

Pepper finds a paper weight sitting on the desk. It's a ceramic angel with just enough weight to it that it might smash through the glass.
Pepper is hesitant though, not wanting to harm the angel figurine. As he looks around the room to find an alternative, there is the sound of
pounding footsteps on the stairs. Just one set of legs it seems, not the whole gang of kids.

"Dang it. Those humans never leave me alone long enough," Pepper says, as he quickly places the paperweight back on the desk.

The elf gets back into his last known position just as Cindy-Lou steps into the bedroom.

"You stay right there. I'll get the box," Cindy says, and Pepper has no idea what she is up to. The girl reaches up high into a cabinet, and she
pulls down a small box that is wrapped in a thin layer of plastic. Once Pepper sees the front of the box he instantly knows what it is, having seen
such boxes a million times or more. The box is a collection of different flavored and differently striped candy canes.

"We are in charge of dessert. They are gonna think this is great...oh wait...your winky dinky is all wittle. Have to get you pumped up first."
