Its common in asian countries seeing boys naked few years before till 90s kids. As i grown in village I seen few of my cusin brothers naked in family album and real in family functions.
In our area we celebrate one ceremony name upanayanam for boys there they have to tie one loin cloth like swimsuit. Most boys have to naked that time. They capture that ceremony and keep on album for memory. I remember seeing my 2 year elder cusin bro having that function. It happened to him when he around 12 that time he completely naked while doing pooja. That photos are still in their family album.

Its his and her elder sister album from baby. Few of photos he was naked but its all in small. While seeing randomly the album one photo little surprised me. There my friend and her sister bathing together naked. There ages are five and ten. I little surprised seeing that her sister naked there without shy. Few days i felt little nervous when his sister talk with me casually. She didn't know i saw that album.

Age ten seems just a bit old for that photo to be shown to visitors! I wonder what she would have thought if she knew you saw it.

At the end of the chapter I emphasized how the family put on the wall an enlarged photo of the boy, even though his balls were hanging out and

As to a comment by CinnabarSunset asking why these public nudity for boys events became less common...I think the modern internet and
everybody having a phone-camera put an end to it.
The number of places in Europe where people wear little to no clothing at the beach or a public park has dwindled. Most people and youngsters
didn't mind being seen naked by the fellow swimmers, but when photos of them began popping up on websites...well, I guess everyone put
more clothes on after that.

As freesub said i think its development of mobile limited it. Because nowadays everyone have mobile and they explore it on internet. As nowdays its common when someone naked people immediately tease them saying will take a pic and send everyone.
But its not like that before 15 years. Mobiles are not populared that time and also internet facility is slow so no one mostly post it on interest. So no one care about being filmed. In those ceremony also cameraman only mostly take that video and photos that too some rich family only hire photographer to make video of ceremony. I understand. That was a good guess from TeenFan - I can see why the internet and phone cameras could have caused that change.

What did you think of it back then, seeing boys naked in ceremonies, in the bath, and in the village pond? Did you think anything specific about it, or was it so normal that you didn't really think about it? I assume girls stayed more covered up compared to boys.

It's funny to think that cameras becoming more common may have actually made these embarrassing childhood photos less common. (Yes, I didn't quite forget which forum topic this is!)
