I feel like this needs to be said as a reminder to both our dear readers and authors.
First our readers, thank you greatly for reading our stories, some of them may not be to your liking, and some may even weird you out, that's normal, humans have different tastes, sometimes to a wild degree, so it's normal you'll run into something you do not enjoy, with that said, it's often better to leave stories you don't enjoy without comment and find the ones you do enjoy, if you feel there's constructive criticism you're able to give and you think would benefit the author, go ahead and leave it for them, otherwise it might be wise to not comment at all.
As for our authors, I feel this needs to be said, but writing and creating is not the only job you have, if it was, there'd be no purpose to posting our stuff on here, the whole purpose is to show our work to the world at large, and sometimes the world at large may not like our stuff, even when it's hurtful and malicious, you lose if you lash out, and honestly, if you cannot handle criticism, even of the unconstructive variety, posting your work online may not be for you, I often hate this phrase, because it can be used to justify being shitty towards each other, but for authors and artists it's an inescapable necessity:
Grow a thicker skin, and be graceful with criticism.
Thank you all, and remember, we're here to have fun.
