I bet that water was COLD.

How times have changed. I can't imagine that there are many places where they'd still have naked swim lessons, much less naked swim lessons that they'd allow a camera crew to film.

Aside from being gay being much less accepted back then (which as a gay man, would be quite the problem), I kind of wish I could have lived back then when people didn't seem to make as big of a deal about nudity.

I was in the Boy Scouts (earning Eagle Scout), and after I did three years in the Army, I also did several years as an Asst. Scoutmaster. This was
a long time ago.

Two situations happened that are worth mentioning. Both of these happened when I was in my early twenties.

1. During a Summer Camp I heard from the scouts that one of the Camp Staff (who happened to have come in from Israel) didn't wear a
swimsuit down at the lake swimming dock. Many of the kids were amazed anyone would swim naked when everybody else has a swimsuit
on. I wished I had gone down to the swimming dock that day.

2. My troop did a weekend of camping at an older scout camp that once was used for summer camps. It had a swimming pool. The saturday
my troop was there, a strip fight broke out. One by one...each person in the pool got ganged up on and stripped by the other boys. Including
me, the Asst. Scoutmaster. I was already wearing a Speedo, so was showing off more skin than anybody else was before the strip fight.

Only the older Scoutmasters, a couple of the dads, were not targeted for pantsing. Saw quite a few bared butts and wieners that day. I suppose
today there are regulations within Scouting that say such fun n games is a "BIG NO NO".

Fellow Eagle Scout, earned mine in 2003, and indeed, I'm almost positive that such shenanigans wouldn't be tolerated today. Which is a shame, because, aside from the adults joining in, that is truly just boys being rambunctious boys. I mean, I knew what underwear every single one of my fellow scouts wore and knew what the dicks of half of them looked like. Hot summer nights at camp were made for lounging around in minimal clothing, communal changing rooms were still the norm back then (I know, a lot of places still have them, but it does seem like more and more places seem to be moving to private stalls), and yes, we did often times pants each other, sometimes stripped each other, and had many other shenanigans that revealed our underwear and our genitals to each other (I mean, if you never joined a group of boys in peeing on a campfire to put it out are you even a Boy Scout? Okay, maybe you aren't anymore, maybe they've put an end to that practice).

Me too, kinda. I was very modest about my body for a long time, looking back I think it would have been good for me if I had been broken of that hangup shortly after puberty kicked in.
