The athlete on the left seems to be a bit excited. Perhaps he has more on his mind than the discus.
Would there be any modern adaptations to Olympic sporting events, such as mixed martial arts with mixed genders?
They will have to eliminate the Judo competition, since that requires a uniform to grab onto.

A good representation of what naked wrestling might look like is from the movie Topkapi, turkish style wresting at a fair.

It would be even better if the wrestlers were female, even if they start in bikinis and oil and end up wearing just oil.

Well, one adaption would be females playing the games but since only males were nude for the original games, only males will be nude for the present games. Females would wear appropriate but modest outfits.

I see no problem with marital arts with mixed genders, again with females in appropriate outfits while the males are nude.

They can have mixed gender Judo matches, Since the males will be nude, I am sure the girls could find "something" to hold on to. Perhaps a few things. :D Those things would also even the playing field for the girls.

The Japanese swim team is dressed perfectly. Women in modest swim suits and the males completely nude.

Generally, I'm in favor of olympians performing nude, the original way.

I assume you intended to say MALE athletes as the females should be in appropriate outfits?

I did some research and it appears that married women could not attend the original Olympic games but unmarried women (and girls?) could attend and watch the naked males in the games. I wonder if it was so the women could chose a mate what had the largest prick or the best set of balls?

Some time later the women had their own games but they were dressed when they played and we do not know if males were allowed to watch. At any rate, the Greeks were into CFNM as the males were often naked. Maybe women knew their assets would be more valuable if hidden while the males knew theirs's would be wanted move if they were exposed. Women love to see what they are getting before they commit.

Well, now, that depends! Hmmm... :?: ...can we have a "junior league," too? Just for me -- plus whoever else shares my preferences, of course! -- populated with young male athletic competitors whose physical "stats" would render them easy targets for a bit of SPH and the like?

This is as close as a Hollywood movie can get to a Junior League for Olympic sports.

Alexander movie: training scene with Connor Paolo

Possibly some of you have never seen this movie.
Most likely HBB would suggest a change to the wardrobe, going back to the actual clothing provided to Greek boys during training.
