How is it Italy can make these kinds of movies and few other countries do?

Re: Boy tossed out of Locker Room naked and other videos
La dolce vita and a certain nonchalance!
And maybe history: Even though catholicism was (and is) strict in theory, the renaissance popes were more cheerful than the calvinists. (Okay, that's probably a gross oversimplification, if it makes any sense at all.) The Dutch, for example, are quite liberal, too, and the Netherlands are a northern country (with a protestant history).
I remember however that there was once a movie featuring a 15 year old boy who visited a brothel for the first time. When the prostitute wanted to see a passport, he gave her a 100-Dollar-Bill and she accepted it, joking if his name was "Benjamin" [Franklin]; he then joked that this was the case, and that his friends would call him "Benny". I am quite confident it was a US-movie.

"Note: In the UK and U.S., Malena was censored when it arrived on DVD. Currently, the only uncut English-friendly version of the film is available on DVD in Korea."

Anyway, you have linked to the uncensored version.

Re: Boy tossed out of Locker Room naked and other videos
I've learned that Brazil was a main country for the filming of certain types of movies.
There were apparently few laws concerning how a movie can be made in that country.
"Love Strange Love" is the most famous of these types of films made in Brazil.
I just found a movie today, filmed in Brazil in 1982. "Pecado Horizontal"

1:23:40 to 1:26:15
A very lucky boy actor indeed.
One of the main themes in my story "It's In the Script" is the production company is filming the movie on a boat in International waters,
and then to be filmed on a Island where there is no regulations. Movie in the story is filmed outside the rules of the US or Western European countries.

To Play or To Die 1990
A teenage boy is stripped of his underwear in the locker room. The other guys play keep away till the coach shows up.
Some brief nudity shown. Teen guy has nothing to be ashamed of.
15:30 to 16:40

Warning: no girls involved, but a rare movie scene of a naked game of Keep Away.

Another great European film that Hollywood would never try to do.

This is another good find. But his friends should not have interrupted him when he was together with the prostitute.

Romeo And Juliet 1968
The actors recently did a lawsuit against the makers of this movie, fifty plus years after it came out.
The actors claim they were told by the director there would be no nudity shown.
Romeo is shown bare assed a couple time in the scene. Juliet has brief exposure of breasts.

1:35:00 to 1:38:32
I have not looked up to see if this lawsuit has been settled. I am surprised there is no Statute of Limitations involved here.
Considering the amount of nudity that can be found in other films from 1969 to 1980s I don't think this should be any big deal.
Seems like a money grab to me.

Re: Boy tossed out of Locker Room naked and other videos
From an article from 2024:
"What they were told and what went on were two different things," the actors’ business manager Tony Marinozzi told Variety in January 2023. "They trusted [director] Franco [Zeffirelli]. At 16, as actors, they took his lead that he would not violate that trust they had. Franco was their friend, and frankly, at 16, what do they do? There are no options. There was no 'MeToo.'"[...]
Hussey [who played Juliet] and Whiting [who played Romeo] reportedly asked for $500 million — equivalent to the amount of money the film has earned since its 1968 release — for the emotional and physical pain they claimed to have suffered due to the alleged harassment, per the Associated Press.

Now, for contrast, compare this to an article from 2018, that means about 50 years after the film had been released:
The film also had its share of controversy, because of Hussey and Whiting’s nude love scene. Though nudity was commonplace in European films, the scene was frowned upon by some in U.S. at the time.
"Nobody my age had done that before," said Hussey, who turned 16 during filming. She added that Zeffirelli shot it tastefully. "It was needed for the film."
Both were already working actors when they were cast.
"Everyone thinks they were so young they probably didn’t realize what they were doing," said Hussey. "But we were very aware. We both came from drama schools and when you work, you take your work very seriously." [...]
"I think it was such an amazing experience," she said. "I used to say to Franco, I don’t want to work with anyone but you. I can do anything for you because you understand me. I mean if I could have, I would have just worked with Franco."

To me, like to Teen Fan, this really seems to be a money grab. It may be facilitated by the new prudery that now seems to be en vogue, at least in some parts of the Western World. And why it is a good thing that child abuse is taken seriously, it seems that in some cases, the right balance might be lost.
