Fictional Character ENF Contest (FCC)

Post by jastes22 »

Had an idea for a little contest that I wanted to try out Hopefully, this leads to some good stories!

The Fictional Character ENF Contest

Prompt:

Choose a female character from any cartoon, video game, movie, or tv show, and create an ENF story based around that character. It could be a main character from a story, like Princess Leia, a more traditional Disney Princess, Samus Aran, or Zelda. it could be a side character like one of Ariel's sisters from Little Mermaid or Cho Chang from Harry Potter. These could be people who could never exist (like people with magic), or feasibly could exist (like someone from Friends)

These stories can be all sorts of situations. Perhaps a main villain of the series that your character lives in has won and decides to have some fun with your character, maybe your character's love interest or friend decides to pull a prank, or maybe they just find themselves in an embarrassing situation just living their life in their world.

You can take this as light or as dark as you want, just thought I'd give people an opportunity to play out some fantasies.

This contest will run until October 15th. All stories need to be completed by that time.

Rules:

1) The character must be female and at least loosely human.
2) In your first entry, please post the character's name, the show/universe they come from, and maybe a short description of who they are/what their universe is like for those who may not be familiar.
3) No underaged characters. You can, however, take a character who was underaged in the movie/show and make a story of when they are older.
4) The story needs to take place in that character's universe in some form. If they are part of a show that spans a long time, you can pick any time before, during, or after when the show would've taken place, or even an alternate universe where something played out differently, as long as it's about them.
5) Please label the title of your story with (FCC) so we know it is a contest entry.
6) Each story can be as short or as long as you want, with as many parts or entries as you want, as long as you finish by the deadline.
7) All stories must otherwise conform to the Board Guidelines.
8) You can post the stories on the main thread so more readers can see it and will hopefully vote for it at the end.

I will try to keep track of the contest entries and link them here, but I may miss yours, so send me a message when you start a story or post it with a (FCC) in the title, per rule 5. A winner will be decided through a poll at the end of the contest

Prize: For your prize, I will write a story of your choosing, or I will continue the story you created, your preference. If you have another idea for a prize you would like, I am open to it.

Thanks, and good luck!

I love this concept, sadly, I've never watched the avatar films, so the universe won't make sense to me so I may not read your story.

The Fictional Character ENF Contest

Prompt:
.....
Entries:

Jastes22 - Katara's Demise

as an FYI I think you added the wrong hyper link, your story entry link, links back to the competition post not your entry.

I've been doing a bit of thinking on this based on TV shows that I've watched in the past and for a lot of reasons I rule them out (certainly at my skill level) as reasonable stories, shows I've watched and initially thought about and ruled out were, all the NCIS, CSI, Bones, Scorpion and Law and Order, The Good Wife/Fight, L.A. Law, Chuck, Greys Anatomy, Station 19, Criminal Minds, Suits, The Mentalist, Person of Interest, The Rookie, Chicago-verse Procedurals, I just can't see a character, from any of them being totally embarrassed, even in the Arrow-verse I could only see one scenario working, Supergirl, feels guilty that she has used her x-ray vision on all her friends and loses a strip game to make it up, I could see that getting to her.

Shows I ruled out, because they already had Strip Games, Skinny Dipping or multiple Character Hook-ups in them (not the main prompt, but to my writing skill level kills the E) are Friends, That 70's Show, Three's Company, How I meet your Mother, Original 90210, Game of Thrones had most of the female characters naked already

One that keeps striking me as possible is Glee, where the Cheerios decide to play a mean trick on Rachel for being so (modern terms) Toxic (or the Buffy-verse doing it to Cordy) and/or Kitty at the height of her meanness to Marly doing the same, HINT HINT people

There is one film that comes to mind, I might have discussed it here, in one of the threads recently, I might have another watch of that and see if I can do anything with it (but after my last entry, don't expect much).

anyway, that was a ramble and now we return you to your regularly scheduled shows

Whatever you do, do not watch the film(s)! The original animated tv show, however, is amazing. That is one disadvantage of this competition, that it's a little more niche. Hopefully, people can still write good stories that they're enjoyable even if you haven't seen the movie/show that they're from.

There was a TV show, before the films, dayum I really am out of the loop.

There are so many possibilities that I really do think this is a great concept, just the way my brain works (or doesn't work depending on your point of view) on a lot of longer running TV shows, I have to rule them out. I do want to enter this and as I said I have one film Idea, but, I'm also going to go back through the TV shows I watched over the years and see if anything jumps out at me, the only danger is that we can also use written fictional characters, which may have been already created by members of this board, so I'm trying to avoid my written fiction folder when looking for characters.

For example, I was thinking of Icarly, but about 10 years ago, I read a good story on another board with that universe and I know I can't match it, so that story is out (for me).
