Part 16: The Assistant

Joseph entered the main office shortly after the lunch bell rang, waiting to be picked up by his father. He had a dental appointment scheduled, which couldn’t have worked out better, since he’d be missing both his history and geography classes in the afternoon. Mrs. Masters had just walked into her office, smiling knowingly at the boy as she passed. Joseph tried to return the smile but faltered. It was still quite awkward to have someone with so much power knowing about the humiliation of his big brother. He felt a little nauseous when he thought too much about it.

“Joseph,” Mrs. Masters said a moment later, poking her head out of her office door, “I was wondering if you could come here a moment. It’s rather urgent.”

Joseph was hesitating, fearing that she might want to make him latest victim. He’d actually been thinking about this for a few days. What if he was next? The principal was communicating urgency in her tone though, so the boy quickly stood up and entered her office. She closed the door behind him.

“Come over here,” Mrs. Masters ushered, guiding the boy behind her desk. He looked at her desktop monitor and saw footage from a camera pulled up. Small red text in the corner indicated that the feed was streaming live. Joseph realized he was looking at the science wing hallway, and specifically at the door behind which Seth was likely being humiliated.

“Who is that?” Mrs. Masters asked, pointing at a boy who was pacing slowly, a few steps away from the door.

“That’s…” Joseph squinted. “That’s Justin!”

“Justin?”

“He’s in my grade. He’s… well, he’s no good! He’s… oh my God.” Joseph’s eyes got wide.

“What is it, boy?” Mrs. Masters pressed.

Joseph considered whether to tell the principal, but in the end, decided he had to. It was the only way to protect himself and his brother. Still, he would leave as much information out as he could.

“A few weeks ago, well, he was picking on me. He’s a bully. And then Seth found out.” Joseph kept his eyes glued to the screen, hoping the boy wouldn’t find out what was going on in that room. “So yeah, my big brother wanted to protect me, so he… well, did something… y’know, so Justin would leave me alone. And it did work, but… well, lately all he’s been talking about is getting revenge!”

“Did something?” Mrs. Masters waited.

“Yeah, my brother, uh… well I don’t think I should say. It’s not my place.” Joseph felt he had already said too much, and he shifted from foot to foot nervously. He just hoped Seth wouldn’t be suspended or something now.

Mrs. Masters looked hard at the boy a moment longer when there was a tap at the door. The secretary’s voice came through the door, “Joseph, your father is here to pick you up.”

Joseph looked pleadingly at Mrs. Masters. “You have to make sure Justin doesn’t go in there. He would completely own Seth if he saw what I saw, and both of our lives would be hell.”

Mrs. Masters looked at the boy for a moment, then said as plainly as possible, “I will take care of it for today. You are dismissed.”




Justin knew he was running out of time to get revenge on the senior that had humiliated him in front of the school cheerleaders. There were only about five full weeks left of school and then Seth would be graduated. Justin’s window of opportunity was closing.

He had been sneaking around for the past week, trying to dig up dirt on the boy. All he could determine was that, for some reason, Seth was going commando almost every day. He’d learned this during the basketball game last week and had watched the boy from afar since. He was trying to notice waistband under his pants, and up until now he never saw any.

This information on its own did not open up many pathways for revenge. The only way that Justin could capitalize on a no-boxers Seth was to pants him. Unfortunately, Justin couldn’t think of a way he could do this without getting in serious trouble himself. If anyone saw him do it…

And that’s when he hatched his plan. On Tuesday, he brought a ski mask to school which fully covered his face, except for a thin slit where his eyes showed. He was going to get Seth at lunch time, in the cafeteria. Justin figured that outside of a basketball game, the lunchroom would have the biggest impact for humiliation. Justin estimated hundreds of students from all four grades ate there. He would expose the jock completely in front of everyone and run off, his identity secret. He just hoped it would all work out.

With a bit of nervousness, he asked to go to the washroom a few minutes before the lunch bell, and waited outside the cafeteria, the mask tucked not so discretely in his back pants pocket. The bell rang and students began to pour out of classrooms from all sides. Justin looked for Seth’s ugly mug, temporarily glaring at Joseph as he walked by, into the main office. Then, he finally saw Seth.

But Seth wasn’t heading for the cafeteria at all. He went down another hallway and headed up the stairwell. Huh? Justin had observed that Seth usually spent lunch periods in the caf, so why was he suddenly bailing? Justin briskly walked towards the stairs and took them two at a time.

Justin followed the boy into the science wing, where he seemed to mysteriously disappear. Most of the classrooms were empty with the lights off, except for room 202. Justin could hear muffled voices behind the door as he paced, contemplating his next action. Maybe he wouldn’t be getting revenge today after all.

A few minutes later, Justin gave up for the day. He headed down to the cafeteria to eat his own lunch. Unfortunately, his friends were nowhere to be found, but it didn’t matter. He sat alone and pulled out his spaghetti, leftover from last night.

“Hi,” said a voice, as a familiar, but nerdy looking boy sat across from him.

Justin looked around. This kid couldn’t be serious. “Get lost, kid.”

“No can do,” the boy smiled. “I’m on special orders from Mrs. Masters.”

At the name of the principal, Justin went white. He knew that there were so many different things he could be in trouble for. He’d always beaten on kids smaller than him and used blackmail whenever possible to make a quick buck. Perhaps someone had ratted on him, and Mrs. Masters had sent this kid to bring him to the office to finally face his fate.

“The name’s Emmett,” the boy extended a hand, but Justin didn’t take it.

“Justin,” he grumbled, “But you already know that if Mrs. Masters actually sent you. What does she want?”

“Do you have any job experience?” Emmett asked, appearing completely off topic.

“Job experience?” Justin repeated. “Why the fuck are you asking me about job experience?”

“Do you have some, or not?” Emmett insisted.

“I’ve helped my uncle chop firewood before,” Justin relented, “But other than that, not really. Look, are you going to tell me what this is about, or what?”

“Mrs. Masters has an opportunity. It’s a job. You’ll get paid for it, and you can even put it on your resume.”

Justin dismissed the offer quickly. “I’m not looking for a job. I’m just living my life, trying to be a kid right now. I have my whole life to work.”

“No problem,” Emmett replied. “So, you don’t want to know the pay, or even what the job is?”

Justin wanted to tell the kid to go fuck himself, but part of him was slightly curious. He also wondered why the principal, who he’d hardly ever interacted with, had selected him to make the offer to.

“Fine, what’s the job?”

“You’d be an assistant,” Emmett explained. “It’s almost no work on your part and will pay $200 per week for the rest of term.”

Justin did some quick math in his head and realized he could have $1,000 by the summer. He was considering the job but wasn’t completely sold.

“What the hell does an assistant do. Would I be someone’s bitch?”

“No,” Emmett grinned widely. “That’s the thing. The bitch would be Seth Zinck.”




“The role is legitimate, just as Emmett described,” Mrs. Masters explained to the boy who was now seated in front of her. Justin had wanted to run here directly after Emmett explained the job, but figured the boy had to be setting him up. Emmett insisted he was telling the truth, and even walked Justin to the office, where he acted as a brief liaison between him and Mrs. Masters, before departing. “You would be my own assistant, carrying out some tasks that I cannot carry out on my own. They will mostly involve the humiliation of Seth Zinck.”

“And… I won’t get in trouble?” Justin asked sceptically.

“Not in the slightest,” Mrs. Masters said. “If you do what I say, I will be turning a blind eye to your actions. However, you must keep our work relationship confidential. Only certain people will be allowed to know.”

“I still can’t believe this,” Justin said, shaking his head. “You’re an adult! You probably don’t even have the same kinds of humiliations in mind as I would.”

Mrs. Masters took a key from her lanyard, unlocking a drawer of her desk. From the drawer, she pulled out a USB, and inserted it into her computer. She waved the boy over and clicked on a file. A video player launched, and Justin focused on what he was seeing. There was Seth, in a room with several girls. He was naked. He was being rubbed by them. And his dick was sticking straight up.

Mrs. Masters skipped to another part of the video, and Justin observed with wide eyes as Seth ran in place, his cock and balls bouncing in plain sight. He had to wonder how Mrs. Masters had this senior so willing to humiliate himself, and also how she had obtained this footage. She closed the video, replaced the USB drive in her drawer, and locked it.

“Now, why don’t you tell me exactly why you want revenge on Mr. Zinck?”

Justin retook his seat and looked surprise. “How do you know I want revenge?”

Mrs. Masters smiled. “A little birdy told me.”

Justin thought back. He had seen Joseph enter the office at the beginning of the lunch period, and that was when all this started. He could put two and two together. “Fucking loser,” he said under his breath.

“Now, now,” Mrs. Masters said. “I think I will be more forgiving of all your future actions if you can share with me all the details of what happened that caused you to seek revenge. Think of it this way: You’re justifying your future actions right now, so that I’ll look away when you’re performing the duties of your job.”

Justin took a deep breath. He could relive this one more time, right? He recanted the tale of his own humiliation. He explained how Seth had him strip naked and jerk off in a locker in the girl’s change room, and then how he was forced to hide in that locker when the cheerleaders came in. He finished with the humiliating details of running past them all, stark naked. Justin had never said that story out loud before, and when he was finished, he found himself shaking. He couldn’t tell if the trembling was with anger, embarrassment, or something else.

“I see,” was all Mrs. Masters finally said, but she had an oddly vacant look on her face, as if her thoughts were elsewhere. “Are you in any clubs, Justin?” The boy muttered something incoherently. “I’m sorry, I didn’t catch that.”

“Yes,” Justin said quietly. He went red as he admitted, “I’m on the spirit team.”

The spirit team was a small committee of only six students, and they had very few responsibilities throughout the year. They usually planned the first week of school event, a winter talent show, and a school spirit week toward the end of the year. Justin’s mother had signed him up for the team in the summer without his consent, and the boy was embarrassed about it because it went against his entire image. He had remained in the club because it fulfilled his requirement for an extra-curricular club, and the other members did not care that he almost never showed up. Still, he had successfully kept his membership secret for the entire year. A few more weeks and he would be done. He wouldn’t need to be on another club for the rest of high school.

Mrs. Masters smiled. “We can work with that. Can you come back just after next period? I will have some tasks drawn up for you, and you’ll be able to get started as my assistant right away.”

Justin still had a million questions. What exactly would humiliating Seth entail? How far could he go? Did he always have to follow Mrs. Master’s guidelines, or would he get to implement his own ideas? But his own pattern of defying authority got the better of him. Without even intending to, he found himself saying, “I didn’t even say I was taking the job.”

Mrs. Masters stood up and leaned over, looking at the boy straight in the eyes. “If I was to ask the cheerleaders if they saw a naked pervert in their locker room who matched your description, what do you think they would say? A criminal charge would not look good for you, Justin.”

The boy clenched his teeth. He was stuck now. Do what he was told, or risk serious trouble.

“Don’t forget,” Mrs. Masters said, softening. “You’ll be paid $200 per week to do what you already love to do anyway. That doesn’t even sound like work to me. You may leave.”

Justin found himself reconsidering as the end-of-lunch bell rang. Mrs. Masters was right. This could be the start of a wonderful opportunity.

He was on his way out of her office when Mrs. Masters spoke one last time. “Oh, and Justin? Leave Seth alone for the rest of today. I promised a little birdy that you would.”

Part 17 - The Screw

I know it's probably cruel to have a Seth-free chapter after the situation we left him in, but sometimes we have to remember that other forces are at work simultaneously. Seth WILL return in the next instalment. Any guesses on how he will resolve his situation? One thing is for sure... Seth is definitely going to regret the humiliation of Justin when all is said and done.

I do want to pose a question of opinion to my readers. I keep going back and forth on this one and have no preference since I have multiple potential plot lines that can play out: Should we let Sara (Seth's girlfriend) learn about her boyfriend's humiliating adventures sooner or later?

Damn you, posting another excellent chapter while I was busy... Now I guess you're not going to answer this, but hopefully it'll come out sooner or later, just what does Masters have against Seth (or was he 'lucky' enough to be chosen randomly)?

I know it's probably cruel to have a Seth-free chapter after the situation we left him in, but sometimes we have to remember that other forces are at work simultaneously.

Nope, back story and scene setting are important to world building... and builds the anticipation of what might happen next, whether the younger brother's going to find out he's made things even worse, for example.

Please keep in mind that it has only been a single week in-story. That's not a lot of time to have grades drop, or throw away a college acceptance (which he only learned about half-a-week ago). At times, Seth has almost lost his temper, but he is a wrestler, trained to get an elbow to the face and not react with aggression. He's trying his best to keep it all together, and a part of him likes the humiliation after the fact (he jerks off to the memory of it).

No it's not a lot of time... my comment was intended to be more developmental e.g. the longer this goes on, with (conflicting) emotions suppressed, the more likely, and serious, adverse reactions would be... just tried to suggest how such reactions might be incorporated into the story giving it a little more depth and (for the lack of a better word) verisimilitude. But, by the same token, it's not a lot of time to get over the initial shock, or anger either at the rapid escalation - sure, as a wrestler, the character might not react with immediate aggression but I can't help but think he'd strategise & seek to retaliate and/or get out of it... in some way (which, obviously, for the purposes of the story would fail miserably) but, obviously, it's your story.

That is a dark take on where this story might be going

Dark, yes... but that's where it looks like it's going to me... and that probably says more about my mind than yours

PS I could easily see you turning this 'only writing for fun' thing into something more, the emotional attachment to the characters you engender through your writing is, for example, very strong - which is possibly why I'm critical of things others are maybe happy to brush right over in a rush to get to the 'good' bits :/

It will definitely come out sooner or later, but it will be part of a big reveal, likely much later. If you read closely over time, you might be able to put some pieces together before it drops, but I don't think I've shared enough quite yet to make that possible.

No worries, I know where the feedback was coming from. I have some sub-plots already planned in which I can easily implement some more of Seth trying to get out of his situation... Don't be too optimistic for him though

Thank you... however, it's hard to focus on realism when 90% of the time writing of the genre is not being motivated by my brain. I try my best but this is far more for pleasure, in many senses of the word.

Haha I know what you mean about it being a little cruel to not have Seth in this chapter, after how the last one ended especially I'm dying to know what happens next, this was still a very important chapter that advanced the story a lot.

Joseph again making things worse for Seth by telling Mrs Masters what he did to Justin, maybe he was only trying to help but he's probably added a lot of trouble to Seth's life by doing that. Again, was it a genuine accident and he's legit trying to help his brother or is it him subconsciously wanting to humiliate his brother? Interesting to think about.

Mrs Masters employing Justin as her muscle to embarrass Seth is fantastic and very devious. I knew Justin would be involved somehow but I didn't expect her to just directly involve him like this, really enjoying how almost sadistic she's getting with all this. Really feels like she's extensively planned everything all with the aim of the downfall of Seth. I think they could be a very effective duo, with Mrs Masters as the brains and Justin the brawn of the plan. Nice to get some info on what school spirit week is too.

As for the big question posed at the end, you legit could go either way with I'm sure. Sara finding out now would open a lot of possibilities and I'm sure it could lead to some great stuff. Personally I think we should hold off on letting Sara know. Eventually of course she should find out but I think Seth desperately trying to keep it a secret from her will add so much more tension to the story and it can be something his tormentors hold over him as a sort of blackmail. Do this or we send the video to Sara type of thing. Imagine they have video of him naked at Clementines house for example, what would Sara think if she saw that?

Like I said it's totally up to you though and I imagine either way would still be great.

I think a hot twist is that they insist he has to let one of the female class members touch him (and make him finish), like he sprains his wrist or something and Mrs. Masters and the girls are there and she's like: "Mr. Zinck, as you are unable to do it yourself, Clementine will have to do it for you."

Maybe at first he tried to use his off-hand but it's taking far too long for him to finish so they insist the girls do it?

I'm very intrigued that Mrs. Masters is interested in Zink's humiliation. That goes beyond any medical or clinical reason for the Nurse's Club
participation.

I would prefer Sara to find out later than sooner. I expect to see some chapters where Sara almost catches on to what's happening. Seth
might end up hiding naked in another closet, perhaps the Nurse's Club could have a "Field Trip" to a local clinic and Seth is forced to go along.
This field trip involves a whole class of High Schoolers, not just the student nurses.

This story is like a tv miniseries, now with episodes featuring the less major characters. Keep up the great work.

Poor Seth! I’m with Sara not finding out for now. I like the inclusion of Emmett, & now Justin being involved with Seth’s ordeal. If any more temperatures are taken, Seth should be on the exam table on all fours, instead of the girls just being behind him while he’s standing. Better for all to see his humiliation.
Curious to find out why Masters is so determined to torment Seth in this way.
