Oh, I was tempted so many times to have Matt lose his conscience, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. If you want an idea of what it might have been like, just check out Adam in the first few chapters of The New Rules, and that will probably give you a good idea of where I would have taken it.

I like that Matt kept his conscience. It made sense, he had what he wanted. I was wondering what would happen if someone else got a similar watch, or Matt were to lose it to someone else who... isn't going to be nice about it.

But Adam in Rules is still pretty careful with his treatment. Since the watch has this much power, it is easy for a person to get corrupt and do their own harem or what not. That was what I was thinking might happen. But I guess that is a very usual way of taking a story, yours focuses on individuals and relationships, which is better.
