It was, indeed, embarrassing! I must say the two women were very professional and compassionate of my situation. Still, as you say, lying there with the two of them discussing and manipulating me like that was more than awkward!

Good luck! Get yourself several ice packs - flexible ones. Sleep in a recliner. The hernia itself will feel better in a couple of days. The incision sites will be sore for quite a bit longer (it was a month for me before I could sleep normally)
