Many years ago. It's probably been a full decade by now. It was originally posted on the ASN board, and that whole board hasn't even existed for 2 1/2 ...

Just an idea bouncing around in my head:

A young teen boy (13-15) is an obsessive track star.
He happens to be the only/one of the only boys on the team.
While at a meet, he’s running and trying to beat his personal best time.
A female classmate points out that he’s close to setting a NEW record ...

Interesting start! Not a massive fan of the formatting found it a little hard to read and mostly dialog. Felt like the story wasn't fully complete but definatly fun what we could see.

If I am reading this right, it seems my two entries competed against each other for being the one chosen....wow.

I liked doing the contest. It got me to start and finish two stories in a short timeframe. Some of my other current stories are like novels
at 60 plus chapters. First time participating ...

Thanks to this contest I have a new concept to develop, which makes its appearance in Treehouse Tricksters. The BSA. a boy kidnapping ring
of teen girls that has a widespread influence and network. Without this contest I might not have come up with it.
