Well, the reason I didn't try boxers 'til I was 16 is simple: I was far too shy/embarrassed to talk about my underwear to ANYONE, including my mum. The thought of discussing my pants with her and asking to try boxers was just too much for me, so it was weirdly preferable to say nothing and ...

But what really embarrassed me was that whenever I went to buy jeans with my mother or even my father, the curtains in the changing room would always be half-open while I was changing. Not having complete privacy created a sense of inferiority in addition to wearing white briefs.

I had a friend who wore really old, worn out white pants too. He wore white briefs all the way through senior school and by year 11 I spotted a few times they were pretty dull and threadbare with a few little holes in the bum
